I have a bad stomach, a loss of appetite, feel full after eating a little, and often have acid reflux. What should I do?

A friend of Huazi said that she had a bad stomach. She had lost her appetite for a long time, felt full after eating a little, and often had acid reflux, which made her very distressed. She asked Huazi what the reason was, what to do, whether she could cure it herself, or whether she needed to take medicine?

Huazi told her that judging from her symptoms, it was probably a manifestation of chronic gastritis. Chronic gastritis is a common stomach disease with many causes. To deal with stomach disease, you need to "treat 30% and take care of 70%". Only after finding the cause can you formulate a specific treatment plan.

1. Causes of chronic gastric disease 1. Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection: Helicobacter pylori is the only bacterium that can survive in gastric acid. It is transmitted orally and has an infection rate of nearly 70% in China. Many gastric diseases are related to Helicobacter pylori infection.

2. Long-term mental stress: When the human body is under mental stress, the digestive function will be inhibited. If you are in a negative mood such as anxiety, depression, fear, tension, etc. for a long time, it will affect the gastrointestinal function and cause stomach problems.

3. Eating irritating foods: Drinking large amounts of liquor or eating irritating foods such as chili peppers and garlic for a long time can damage the gastric mucosa and cause stomach problems.

4. Side effects of drugs: Long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin, glucocorticoids, iron supplements, reserpine in antihypertensive drugs, tetracycline antibiotics and other drugs may cause damage to the digestive tract and cause stomach problems.

5. Irregular life: disordered work and rest schedules, or changes in the environment, such as large time differences when traveling, or large temperature differences between cold and hot, the human body is difficult to adapt in a short period of time, which will cause nerve dysfunction in the stomach and cause stomach problems.

2. "Three-point treatment" for gastric disease If there is Helicobacter pylori infection, medication is needed to eliminate it. Most people infected with Helicobacter pylori will not have symptoms and can choose whether to receive treatment according to their personal wishes. However, for those infected with Helicobacter pylori who have developed symptoms, Helicobacter pylori eradication treatment is required.

The "quadruple therapy" is now commonly used to treat Helicobacter pylori, which refers to the combined use of four drugs, with a course of treatment of about 14 days. Forgetting to take the medicine during the medication period and stopping the medicine at will are common causes of treatment failure. Therefore, people who receive Helicobacter pylori eradication treatment must adhere to the medication under the guidance of a doctor.

For people with more serious digestive tract symptoms, corresponding symptomatic treatment should also be carried out. For example, for people whose main symptoms are easy fullness and bloating, they can use digestive tract prokinetic drugs to promote gastrointestinal motility; for people whose main symptoms are loss of appetite and indigestion, they can use digestive enzyme preparations to assist digestion; for people whose main symptoms are acid reflux and upper abdominal pain, they need to use antacids and gastric mucosal protective agents for symptomatic treatment.

Everyone should understand that medication is not the key to solving stomach problems, but when medication is needed, it must be taken under the guidance of a doctor and in accordance with the doctor's instructions. Medication must be taken in sufficient quantities and for a full course of treatment, and it cannot be abandoned halfway, in order to produce effective treatment results.

3. "70% care" for stomach problems The stomach secretes gastric juice to digest food every day, and at the same time regenerates the mucosa, repairs the wear and tear of daily eating, and resists the digestion of gastric juice. Therefore, the stomach is an organ with a strong regenerative function. Therefore, as long as there is no long-term and continuous damage to the stomach, most stomach problems can be cured.

But nourishing the stomach does not mean drinking porridge for a long time, because human organs will "use it or lose it". Always eating food that is too easy to digest will weaken the normal digestive function of the stomach. What Huazi said about nourishing the stomach is not to hurt the stomach. For example, don't eat hot or cold food, avoid eating too sweet, too sour, or too spicy food, quit smoking and drinking, avoid taking medicines that hurt the stomach, go to bed on time, and keep yourself in a good mood. After 3 to 6 months, the stomach will be well.

To sum up, gastric disease is "30% treatment and 70% care". Everyone should understand the causes of gastric disease. Only after eliminating the causes can gastric disease be cured. When treating gastric disease, although the medicine plays an auxiliary role, you cannot be "careless" when using the medicine. You must use the medicine according to the doctor's instructions. If you find any problems when taking the medicine, please consult a doctor or pharmacist in time. I am pharmacist Huazi, welcome to follow me and let me be the pharmacist by your side.
