Foods that can’t be eaten during confinement

Many women will encounter many situations due to the secretion of breast milk during the confinement period. For example, if some women are in the stage of weaning during the confinement period, they must pay attention to choosing some suitable foods to avoid some counter-effects. However, if women are in the stage of inducing lactation, it is generally not recommended to eat too many weaning foods. So what are the foods that women should not eat during confinement to reduce lactation?

1. Crabs

Crab is a cold seafood product. Just put the crabs in water and boil them. Eating them after they are cooked can help reduce milk production. I hope mothers can pay attention to this.

2. Celery

Celery contains a lot of fiber. This substance can help people digest, fight cancer, and has a certain effect on some high blood lipids. I hope we can pay attention to it.

3. Hawthorn

Hawthorn is a food that everyone knows. Hawthorn has the effects of strengthening the stomach and digestion, promoting salivation and quenching thirst. Its good dissipating function can help mothers stop breastfeeding.

4. Ginseng

Ginseng has high nutritional value and can promote salivation and quench thirst, replenish qi and calm the mind. Ginseng soup or ginseng tea can reduce milk secretion.

5. Leek

Leek is a warm food with an aphrodisiac effect. It helps regulate menstruation and stop lactation by dispelling the cold in the body.

6. Hawthorn malt drink

10g malt, 3g hawthorn, 15g brown sugar. First, fry the hawthorn slices and malt separately until they are charred (you can also buy roasted malt and dry hawthorn slices from a Chinese medicine store), then put the roasted hawthorn slices and malt into a clean small pot. Add 400ml of water, bring to a boil over medium heat, then turn to low heat and continue heating for 15 minutes. Let the boiled water cool down a little, add brown sugar and it is ready to drink.

7. Others

Maltose, hawthorn, leek, pepper, aniseed, MSG, beans, ginseng, mushrooms, eggplant, grapefruit, lotus root, fungus, chocolate, bamboo shoots, oatmeal, ham, fried malt, malted milk (generally raw malt).
