What are the circumstances in which the engine needs to be started twice? What is the effect of secondary ignition on the engine?

Before driving, you need to ignite the engine and warm it up for a while before you can drive. Under normal circumstances, the car engine will ignite immediately. If it fails to ignite once, you can ignite it a second time, but you must remember to check your car at this time. So what is the specific situation? Does the second ignition have any effect on the engine?

What happens if the engine needs to be started twice?

1. Check the spark plug. Check the spark plug's ignition and combustion conditions. The spark plug's ignition energy directly affects the combustion in the cylinder, so it will affect the start. So we will check the spark plug first.

2. Clean the fuel injector. If the atomization of the fuel injector is not good, it will also affect the combustion and cause difficulty in starting. One of the main functions of the fuel injector is to atomize the fuel so that the fuel can be fully burned.

3. Check the fuel pressure. If the fuel pressure is insufficient or the supply is not smooth, it will also cause insufficient fuel injection and affect starting. The fuel filter is clogged or the pressure valve on the fuel pump is depressurized, causing the fuel pressure in the fuel pipeline to be depressurized. Each time the engine is started, the pressure is rebuilt. This is the most important and most easily overlooked point.

4. Carbon canister solenoid valve. This is an easily overlooked point. The carbon canister solenoid valve controls the fuel vapor in the fuel tank to enter the engine for combustion. If too much fuel vapor enters the engine, the mixture will be too thick, causing difficulty in starting.

5. Excessive carbon deposits can also cause difficulty in starting. This is the most difficult to deal with. For naturally aspirated cars, within 80,000 kilometers, if used normally, the carbon deposits will not have a big impact. For engines with direct injection turbines, the carbon deposits at 80,000 kilometers are more serious than those of naturally aspirated engines.

Repairing a car should follow the principle of starting with the easy and then the difficult, from the outside to the inside. If the problem is not confirmed, it is not advisable to dismantle it or it may damage the car.

What is the effect of secondary ignition on the engine?

If you restart the vehicle while it is idling, you will hear the starter gear grinding the flywheel! Occasionally doing this will not have any effect on the vehicle. Just be careful not to start it twice too frequently, otherwise it will seriously affect the life of the starter.

Nowadays, there is a device to prevent repeated starting in the starting circuit of automobiles, which can effectively prevent the starter from running when the engine has already started. There are generally two types of such devices to prevent repeated starting, mechanical and electronic.

If the car does not have a device to prevent double starting, restarting the engine after it has started is still quite dangerous and will damage the engine. Because the starter and engine speeds are not synchronized, the two will "clash the teeth" when they are forced to mesh, making a violent gear wear sound, which will seriously damage the starter and the gears on the engine flywheel ring gear, and even cause it to be scrapped. Therefore, after the engine is started, it is strictly forbidden to turn the key door again to operate the starter.

Why can't the car start?

1. Check the spark plug.

Spark plugs have their own replacement cycle. If the owner does not replace the spark plugs in time when the replacement cycle is reached, the spark plugs will not have enough ignition energy, and the ignition will not be smooth. After replacing the spark plugs, it will be fine. In addition, the requirements for spark plugs in today's cars are very high. If there is a slight problem, the car will not ignite.

Second, check the battery.

The car battery cannot be started if it is low on power. If the battery is out of power, the car cannot be started and you can only use the battery to borrow power.

3. Check the fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel pipeline.

If there is a problem in these positions, the engine will also fail to start, especially if the fuel pressure of the fuel pump is insufficient, there is air in the fuel pipe, etc.

Fourth, there may be carbon deposits on the fuel injector and intake pipe.

Carbon deposits can cause the car to be unable to start and cause idle jitters, but cleaning can solve the problem.
