Puji Temple

2️Manjusri Hall: The main offering is to Manjusri Bodhisattva, and the main purpose is to pray for wisdom. When worshiping, chant "Namo Manjusri Bodhisattva"

3️Puxian Hall: The main offering is to the Bodhisattva Puxian, and the main purpose is to pray for work and career. When worshipping, chant "Namo Puxian Bodhisattva"

4️Main Hall: The main offerings are the Three Buddhas (Buddha Shakyamuni, Amitabha Buddha, Medicine Buddha), praying for the safety of the family. When worshiping, call "Nano Three Buddhas"

5️Ksitigarbha Hall: The main offering is to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and the main purpose is to pray for the health of the elders. Originally ranked sixth, it is just the first of all virtues. When worshiping, call "Nano Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva"

It is said that Mount Putuo is the place where Guanyin Bodhisattva taught sentient beings. You need to take a ferry to the independent island, which is known as the "Buddhist Kingdom of the Sea and Sky" and the "Sacred Land of the South China Sea", so it is better to come here to worship Guanyin. If you come here to worship, it is generally better to do so for three consecutive years.

When worshipping Buddha, sincerity is the key to success. Bodhisattvas are extremely compassionate. If you make a wish in front of a Bodhisattva and it comes true, you should worship the Bodhisattva for three consecutive years to fulfill your wish and show your sincerity. If you have time, you can just burn three sticks of incense in front of the Bodhisattva.

The cave for seeking wealth is called Shancai Cave.

Tourists and pilgrims come here to pray for wealth. Most pilgrims bring two hundred-yuan bills with auspicious numbers printed on them, and then rub the money back and forth on the four characters "Shancai Ancient Cave" to attract wealth, and then put it in a bag printed with a golden photo of Shancai Boy, and take it home to bless the family with good fortune and prosperity. The rubbed money can only be used for merit, donations and other good deeds, and cannot be used for daily consumption. The tribute is also very simple, a bag of peanuts and Wangwang snow cakes are enough.

Things to note when worshipping Buddha at Mount Putuo

1. Do not wear revealing or exaggerated clothes (avoid red clothes). Do not wear heavy makeup. Do not smoke, chew gum, or play around in the temple.

2 The money for incense must be paid in cash, both coins and five-yuan and ten-yuan notes are acceptable. Currently, you cannot scan the code to pay for incense.

3. It is good to worship before 12 o'clock. There is a threshold when entering the temple. Do not step on it. Men go left and women go right. Men step with their left foot first and women step with their right foot first. Enter the door from the right to burn incense and do not turn back. Wash your hands before worshiping the Buddha. First worship the main Buddha in the middle, then worship the other Bodhisattvas in a clockwise direction.

4 Make a wish: Tell the Buddha your birthday and address, and what you want to ask for. Don’t be greedy, and it’s best not to ask for more than 3 things. Then burn three incense sticks.
