Death from blood clot three days after delivery

Death from blood clot three days after delivery

Thrombosis is a very serious disease, especially if it occurs after childbirth, it must be addressed promptly. Some women have died from thrombosis three days after delivery, which is the most serious case. Generally speaking, if blood clots are found after delivery and are treated properly, the harm and impact can be controlled. And you should know the symptoms of postpartum thrombosis and respond promptly if any abnormalities occur.

First of all, for some postpartum patients, their blood is in a hypercoagulable state. If they remain motionless for a long time, it is easy to form deep vein thrombosis in the lower limbs. Therefore, we must carry out appropriate activities at this time. During this period of time, the mother may feel that she needs to stay in bed and rest, but this is not the case.

Some mothers who have delivered by caesarean section must start getting out of bed and moving around the next day after delivery, unless under special circumstances. This is very important.

Some patients just lie still after returning to the ward. There are no symptoms when the blood clots are formed and dormant, but after getting out of bed, the blood clots in the lower limbs can easily fall off into the lungs and cause pulmonary embolism. These patients are prone to sudden death. Therefore, pregnant women must be taught to exercise more and drink more food such as porridge to avoid the occurrence of blood clots.

Postpartum thrombosis symptoms

1.Suddenly feel dizzy and dizzy. Dizziness is an important sign of blood clots. If a mother often feels dizzy suddenly after giving birth, especially when she just gets up or takes a shower, she should pay attention, as it may be postpartum thrombosis.

2. Sudden headache. After giving birth, pregnant women often suddenly feel abnormal headaches, which is also a precursor to blood clots, so mothers should pay attention to it.

3. Walking unsteadily. After giving birth, a woman may find that her walking is always different from before and she feels unsteady no matter how she walks. This is also a precursor to postpartum thrombosis.

4. Abnormal blood pressure. If a mother’s blood pressure has been normal before delivery, but suddenly finds that her blood pressure continues to rise after delivery, she should pay attention to whether it is a precursor to blood clots.
