Why do people burp and emit gas? What is the fastest way to cure burping?

Hiccups are a very normal physiological phenomenon. Sometimes there is sound when hiccups occur, sometimes there is no sound. Sometimes hiccups occur continuously and rhythmically, while other times they occur only once. Hiccups also occur when we inhale too much air when eating or talking, or when gas is produced during digestion in the stomach. So which part of the body is the cause of hiccups?

Why do people burp gas?

Hiccups are caused by a sudden contraction of the diaphragm, an important muscle located at the bottom of the abdominal cavity, just above the stomach, and it is primarily responsible for breathing movements.

When we inhale, our lungs don't expand directly. Instead, they expand because we expand the volume of our chest cavity. Since the lungs are stuck to the inside of the chest cavity, they expand as the chest cavity expands.

The diaphragm is the muscle that drives this expansion. When you hiccup, the diaphragm will suddenly twitch, which allows air to enter the lungs. At the same time, the throat, which is part of the larynx, will suddenly close. This sudden closure blocks the air and causes hiccups.

Hiccups do not start in the muscles of the diaphragm itself, but in the nerves that run in the diaphragm, called the phrenic nerves. Hiccups are common when you're eating because the nerves in your stomach are connected to your respiratory nerves, but hiccups can happen at any time.

What is the fastest way to cure hiccups?

1. There are various ways to treat hiccups, such as drinking a glass of water with your head tilted back when you can stand up. Raise your arms and hold your breath. Cover your ears with your fingers and drink water.

2. There is another method that we use most often, for example, using someone to suddenly scare them. Of course, there are many other methods. These methods are effective but difficult to get rid of. But after you have tried all these complicated methods, you may stop hiccuping. If these methods do not relieve the symptoms, you can take some drugs to promote gastrointestinal motility and reduce diaphragmatic spasms, such as metoclopramide and metoclopramide tablets. These drugs are very effective in conscious isolation, relieving symptoms and improving prognosis.

3. However, there is also a pathological type of hiccups, such as cardia station, recurrent gastritis, gastric ulcer, and gastric cancer, which can induce constant hiccups and require timely medical attention.

4. Frequent hiccups, accompanied by periodic hunger pains and pains at night, may mean that there is an ulcer in the digestive tract or a problem with the liver and gallbladder. If there are symptoms such as loss of appetite, weight loss, and anemia for more than 45 days, do not take it lightly. It indicates the presence of tumors and other lesions in the body.

How to stop hiccups quickly

1. Drink seven small sips of water continuously. Note that you should drink it continuously.

2. Hold your breath for 30 to 45 seconds, or take a clean chopstick, put it in your mouth, and gently stimulate 1/3 of the upper palate.

3. Bend over and drink water. Prepare a cup of warm water and swallow it slowly several times while bending over 90 degrees a dozen times.

4. You can wrap your tongue with gauze and gently pull your tongue out with your fingers, so that you can feel the gas rising in your abdomen and the hiccups will disappear naturally. This method is suitable for those who have not been able to use the first three methods and have hiccups for a long time.

5. Sudden fright: Fright is a strong emotional stimulus that can inhibit diaphragm spasm.
