This is usually done when renovation begins and water and electricity are renovated. Close the floor heating control valve at the entrance, connect a pressure pump to the water distributor on the return pipe, and pressurize it to see if there is a pressure drop. If there is any, first eliminate the sealing problem of the floor heating control valve, then find the leak and repair the floor heating pipeline. You can test the pressure in separate lines to find the leak. The main purpose of pressurizing before renovation is to avoid leakage problems in floor heating and to carry out repairs in time. If no inspection is done in the early stage, it will be troublesome to find problems after the decoration is completed, and the floor decoration needs to be dismantled. In addition, if there are multiple leakage points, it is also necessary to consider replacing the floor heating pipes. If it is a newly installed floor heating, it is best to conduct a floor heating inspection after the floor is decorated. Or install a pressure gauge on the floor heating to observe the pressure changes. If there are changes, it should be repaired in time. Generally, people tend to ignore this step when renovating, because there are relatively few cases of floor heating leaking. However, once it happens, the newly renovated house needs to remove the floor tiles, which is still quite annoying. Therefore, it is recommended to pressurize the floor heating when doing the water and electricity renovation. The same method applies to radiators. The process of floor heating pressure before decorationThe floor heating system is a concealed project. After installation, it must pass the pressure test before the surface layer (leveling layer, heat storage layer) can be made. If the floor heating coil is found to be leaking at a later stage, destructive measures can only be taken for maintenance. 1. Floor heating pipes have been pressure tested before leaving the factory, and there is pressure inside the pipes. This is to prevent the pipes from being damaged during transportation, so that we can find problems in time. Before construction, just cut off the pressure test head, and air will be discharged from the pipe (people can clearly feel the pressure). If there is no air discharged or very little gas is discharged after cutting, it is recommended to conduct an independent pressure test on this roll of pipe to determine the specific problem. 2. After the integral coil, manifold, etc. are all connected, the overall pressure test can be started. 3. Close the water inlet and return valves of the manifold, connect the tail pressure test interface to the municipal tap water pipeline, fill the floor heating pipe with water, and exhaust the air in the pipe. This step is critical and must be done (for example: there are five circuits on site, close the main valve, then close the valves of four of the circuits, fill the remaining circuits with water, and after filling, close the water inlet and return valves of this pipeline, and then open the next one, and do it in sequence. After all five circuits are filled, open all the circuit valves and inject water again, half of which lasts for half a minute each time). 4. The third step must be done to ensure that the pressure drop will not be too large during the later pressurization, and to facilitate our inspection of the pressure test of the entire system. At the same time, there is no need for exhaust treatment in the later debugging stage. If the air in the floor heating pipe is not exhausted, a lot of problems will arise in the later debugging and practical stages. 5. The pressure test should be increased slowly, not all at once. The pressure should be 8 kg, and it should be kept at 8 kg for 15 minutes. If there is no leakage and the pressure drops within 0.2 kg, it is OK. Open the pressure relief valve to reduce the pressure in the pipe to 6 kg. 6. Now you can start the leveling and floor tiling process. During the construction process, you should continue to observe the pressure drop. It is best to record it. 7. If the pipe is damaged during leveling or floor tile construction, it is recommended to replace the entire circuit. If the damage occurs near the completion of the process, an adapter can be used to repair it. 8. After all the construction processes are completed, observe the pressure situation again. If the pressure in the pipe is lower than 4 kg, it is recommended to increase the pressure to 6 kg. Excessive pressure drop does not necessarily mean that the pipe is damaged or leaking. Such problems may be caused by failure to exhaust all the air in the pipe, air in the tap water, or a damaged exhaust valve. The property has already suppressed the floor heating. Should it be suppressed again during renovation?It is very necessary. As an owner, it is impossible to confirm and guarantee that the floor heating installed in the property is compliant in terms of pipes, craftsmanship, design, installation, etc. Before renovation, you should inform the property management in advance and ask the property management, construction party, etc. to witness the floor heating pressure test process again. If it fails, it can be discovered in advance. If the floor heating leaks later, you will need to repair the floor you have already renovated, which is very expensive. Therefore, we remind you that you should contact the property owner and ask them to provide relevant after-sales agreements or documents.
