Manual transmission cars require manual operation to change the device in the transmission to achieve speed change. When manual transmission has problems with gear shifting, comprehensive consideration and analysis are required. What are the common problems? What's wrong with manual transmission? There are many reasons why manual transmission vehicles are difficult to shift into gear. It may be that the brake fluid is insufficient, air has entered the hydraulic pipeline, the clutch cylinder is leaking and relieving pressure, the clutch plate is severely worn, or the synchronizer in the manual transmission is faulty. First, check whether the liquid level in the brake fluid tank is within the normal range (the clutch oil tank of some models is designed separately). If the liquid level is below the lower limit, it is necessary to check whether the brake pads are severely worn or whether there is oil leakage in the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder and pipeline. If there is no abnormality in the preliminary inspection, try to empty the clutch again. If the gear is still not engaged after the clutch is emptied again, release the clutch and then press the clutch again to engage the gear, or press the clutch and wait for 2 seconds before engaging the gear. If the fault does not improve, you need to inspect the clutch or the synchronizer inside the gearbox as appropriate. The reason why the manual transmission model is not easy to engage the gear can be better judged by actual vehicle inspection. Do I need to put the car in gear when parking with a manual transmission?Whether to park a manual transmission car with the gear engaged depends on the actual need. Most of the time, our parking spaces are flat, so it is not necessary in most cases. When we park the car on a steep slope, it is necessary to park with the gear engaged. Use the engine braking force to reduce the load on the handbrake to prevent the handbrake from failing or the handbrake cable from breaking, causing unnecessary accidents. When parking with gear engaged, you don't need to block the wheels with stones, and you don't need to worry about hitting others when starting, so parking with gear engaged is both convenient and safe. For short-term parking, in addition to parking with the car in gear, you can also use the steering method: after parking the car, steer the car to the side, and turn the wheels toward a certain angle to increase the friction of the front wheels on the slope. Why does manual gear shifting feel tight in winter? The reason why the gear shift is tight is that the gears have too much resistance during movement. In winter, the temperature is low, the gear oil viscosity is not selected correctly, and the fluidity becomes poor, which causes the gear oil viscosity to be too high at low temperatures and become semi-fluid and grease-like, causing difficulty in shifting gears. Transmission oil viscosity also has low temperature index and high temperature index. It is especially important to choose the correct low temperature index! Please choose the appropriate low temperature index according to the local minimum winter temperature, down 10 degrees! |
