Why can't an electric car move when it has power? How can I fix it when an electric car stops moving but has power?

Electric cars are a means of transportation for many families. They take up little space, are easy to use, and are more suitable for short-distance travel within the city. Electric cars do not need to be refueled on time, and can be charged every day. So what happens if an electric car cannot move even if it has power?

Why can't electric vehicles move even though they have electricity?

There are many reasons why an electric vehicle may not move properly. Here are the common reasons and how to check them.

First, prop up the big feet to lift the motor off the ground. Twist the handle again and observe the meter voltage. If the voltage drops very low or the meter flashes, it means the power supply is abnormal. Focus on checking the electric door lock, battery, controller switch, and power fuse.

Common power failures: unstable electric door lock contact, loose battery fixing screws, burnt out main power switch, aging circuits

Then, pay attention to whether the taillight is on. It will only light up when you brake and turn on the headlight. If the taillight is still on when you turn off the headlight switch, it proves that the power switch is broken and the electric vehicle cannot run.

Push the wheel at the same time. If there is an intermittent resistance, it is usually because the controller is broken or the surface of the motor wire has melted and stuck.

Next, if the surface inspection does not reveal any problems, check the controller. We can see that the yellow phase line of the motor in the above picture has traces of heat and burning, which is caused by the loose nut. Recheck the positive and negative power supply and motor wires, and tighten the nuts one by one.

How to fix an electric car that stops working but has power?

Measure the thick red wire and thin red wire of the battery to see if the voltage is normal. If there is no voltage at all or the voltage is very low, then you should first suspect whether there is a problem with the battery or the battery wire end is abnormal. If the battery voltage drops sharply when you twist the handle, it means that the battery capacity is insufficient.

Lift your foot high and use your hands to turn the motor (wheel), which is equivalent to letting the motor work in the power generation state. If you feel a lot of resistance or a jam, you can disconnect the brake signal control line. After eliminating the brake problem, if there is still resistance, it means that the power generation work has a circuit. For example, the switch tube in the controller may burn out and cause a short circuit, or the insulation between the motor wire ends may be broken down, and the coils are conductive. These are relatively easy to observe with the naked eye.

Use a multimeter to measure the thick red wire of the main circuit to see if the voltage to the ground is the same as that on the battery. If not, check whether the wire ends are loose or fallen off, and whether the air switch is normal.

Some electric vehicles have a fault display on the dashboard, and you can prescribe the right remedy. If not, focus on checking the electric door lock switch. You can disconnect the two ends and directly use a multimeter to measure the resistance to see if it is large.

Under normal circumstances, the taillights will only work when the headlights are on and the brakes are applied. If the headlights are not on or the brakes are not applied, the taillights will still be on. This is because the brake power-off switch is broken, causing the controller to have no output.

The electric vehicle's handlebar has been analyzed above. Its Hall sensor must output a certain analog value when the handlebar is twisted. If the power cord above is broken or the Hall sensor is broken, there will be no voltage output. In this case, you can just replace the handlebar.

If the motor can rotate but does not work properly and the main coil is normal, use a car repair tool to test whether the Hall pulse signal is normal.

How to add water to electric vehicle battery

First of all, we need to understand the types of electric vehicles and the types of batteries that are suitable for them. Let's analyze them item by item:

1. Two-wheeled electric vehicles: Most of them are 12 or 20AH lean liquid or colloid DZM batteries, which do not need to be watered, and adding water is useless. Individual cases will not be discussed.

2. Three-wheeled electric vehicles (mobile scooters for the elderly): Most of them are 20AH lean liquid or colloid DZM batteries and do not require water.

3. Three-wheeled electric vehicles (trucks): Most of them have tubular power batteries above 120AH and need to be filled with water every day.

4. Four-wheel electric vehicles (mobile scooters for the elderly): Tubular power batteries need to be added with water every day; maintenance-free power batteries do not require water.

The principle is that covered ones need to be added with water, while closed ones do not need to be added with water.
