Pregnancy hand swelling

Pregnancy hand swelling

When a pregnant woman is pregnant, as the pregnancy progresses, her body may experience various conditions, such as swollen hands. Some people say that a pregnant woman's swollen hands indicates the gender of the baby. So, if your hands swell during pregnancy, will you decide whether you will get a boy or a girl?

1. Swollen hands of pregnant women indicate a boy or girl

It is impossible to tell whether a pregnant woman's hands are swollen and the baby is a boy or a girl. Because the doctor said that edema is caused by lack of exercise, it is recommended that mothers move their ankles and wrists more and relax.

The birth of a boy or girl has a certain relationship with diet, but it has little to do with swelling of the hands of pregnant women. If pregnant women have swollen hands, they should pay more attention to rest and eat more nutritious foods.

2. What to do if pregnant women have swollen hands

1. Swelling of hands in late pregnancy is mostly a normal physiological phenomenon and does not require special treatment. You can raise your arms and do moderate exercise. It is best to take off diamond rings and other jewelry on your hands to allow your arms to move more freely. Until the baby is born, the problem of swollen fingers of pregnant women will gradually disappear.

2. Pregnant women should wear comfortable clothes and avoid wearing tight clothes to avoid affecting blood flow. If your health condition permits, you can do moderate exercise, such as swimming, which is helpful in relieving edema. Pregnant women should also avoid emotional excitement and avoid intense or prolonged physical activity.

3. Most physiological edema will gradually improve after rest and adjustment. If the edema does not improve after the above treatment, and the weight increases rapidly, and symptoms such as hypertension and proteinuria appear, it is possible that you have gestational hypertension and you need to go to the hospital immediately for corresponding examinations and active treatment.

4. Pregnant women also need to adjust the rhythm of work and daily life. Make sure to get enough rest and sleep time, and avoid excessive anxiety and fatigue. It is best to rest for 30 minutes after each meal, two hours at noon, and 9-10 hours of sleep every night. If there is no standard lying down to rest at the workplace, you can raise your legs and put them on the desk and chair after lunch, adopting a semi-sitting position.
