Are nectarines a hairy food? How to keep nectarines fresh

In our daily life, when we eat peaches, we will find that: when peaches are not fully ripe, they contain more cellulose, and their structure is stable and hard. When peaches grow and mature, they will gradually decompose the internal cellulose and turn it into sugar. Such peaches have less cellulose, unstable structure and are soft. So can nectarines still be eaten after they become soft? Please continue to learn more.

Is nectarine a hair-raising food?

Among fruit foods, the main ones that can cause allergies include peaches, apricots, ginkgo, mango, bayberry, cherry, lychee, melon, etc. Predecessors have pointed out that eating too many peaches can easily cause heat, and cause carbuncles, sores, ulcers, boils, and worm-induced malnutrition. Eating too many apricots can cause carbuncles and boils, and damage the tendons and bones.

Therefore, people who are allergic to peaches must control their diet and avoid adverse consequences caused by accidentally eating peaches!

Are peaches an allergy-inducing food? After reading the introduction above, I believe everyone has already understood that peaches are an allergy-inducing food. This is because peaches can cause allergies in people.

How to keep nectarines fresh

1. Refrigerator storage and preservation

First pre-cool the nectarines, dry the moisture on the surface of the nectarines, pack them in plastic bags, and store them in the refrigerator. The temperature should be controlled at 0℃ and the relative humidity should be maintained at 85%-90%. With this storage method, the storage period can be up to 1 month.

2. Chemical storage and preservation

During storage, nectarines often rot due to brown rot. The use of chemical storage and preservation is to soak the nectarines in a 0.1% benomyl suspension at 40°C for 25 minutes before storage, which can effectively prevent the nectarines from rotting.

3. Controlled atmosphere storage and preservation

Nectarines can be effectively stored for 6 weeks in a controlled atmosphere with a temperature of 0°C, a relative humidity of 85%-90%, a carbon dioxide volume fraction of 5%, and an oxygen volume fraction of less than 1%, which is 100% longer than the storage period in the air.

4. Refrigerate to keep fresh

The suitable temperature for cold storage is -0.5℃-0℃ and the relative humidity is 90%. If it needs to be stored for a longer time, the temperature of the cold storage must be strictly controlled and cannot fluctuate. If the temperature reaches below -1℃, there is a possibility of freezing. Nectarines are more likely to deteriorate when stored at 2℃-5℃ than below 0℃. The storage period of more resistant varieties under stable conditions of -0.5℃-0℃ is 4 weeks.

Can I still eat nectarines if they become soft?

Peaches will become soft if they are overripe after being stored for a long time. Why is this? When peaches are not fully ripe, they contain more cellulose, which can keep the structure of the peaches stable, so the texture of the peaches is hard. After the peaches grow and mature, they will gradually decompose the internal cellulose and turn it into sugar. Such peaches have less cellulose and therefore have an unstable structure, so they become soft. Since cellulose is converted into sugar, softened peaches are sweeter. Of course, another possibility is that the peaches have deteriorated. Due to the action of microorganisms, the structure of the cellulose is destroyed, causing the peaches to become soft. Such peaches have an odor and taste abnormal and are inedible.
