How to tell if you are pregnant from your pulse

How to tell if you are pregnant from your pulse

During pregnancy, you usually go to the hospital for a blood test. If you go to a traditional Chinese medicine hospital, you may check whether you are pregnant by feeling your pulse. This method is also scientifically proven. If the pulse is not within a certain range, it cannot indicate pregnancy. So, how can you tell pregnancy from the pulse?

1. How to detect pregnancy based on pulse rate

Most people have a normal resting pulse of 60 to 100 beats per minute, and most pregnant women's pulse is 10 to 15 beats per minute higher than normal.

The pulse diagnosis of ordinary people is called "flat pulse", which means that there is pulse in the three parts of Cun, Guan and Chi, which is regular, comes and goes smoothly and gently, and is rich and strong. Generally speaking, women's pulse is slightly weaker than men's under normal circumstances. Chinese medicine believes that "men are based on qi, and women are based on blood." Modern scientific research has also confirmed that pulse diagnosis is related to preload. The preload of men and women is different, so the pulse diagnosis will also be different.

The pulse diagnosis of pregnant women usually occurs around 6 weeks of pregnancy. The pulse diagnosis becomes slippery and strong or slippery and rapid, and the radial pulse is continuous when pressed. Therefore, traditionally, Chinese medicine pulse diagnosis can determine whether you are pregnant. The slippery pulse that occurs during pregnancy is one of the important parts of traditional Chinese medicine in checking whether you are pregnant.

Generally speaking, whether pregnant or not, a woman's pulse rate is normally between 65 and 100. The average is about 75 times per minute. These 102 times belong to the critical point, and electrocardiogram or echocardiogram and other relevant tests can be performed to detect whether there are any abnormalities.

2. What should pregnant women eat if they have low blood pressure?

1. Salt

No matter which type of hypotension patient, you can eat more table salt appropriately, because salt can increase blood pressure and improve symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, etc. If pregnant women have low blood pressure, they can also eat more salty food, but at the same time remember to drink more water and strengthen exercise.

2. Ginger

People with low blood pressure should eat ginger often, which is beneficial to digestion and absorption, invigorating the stomach and digestion, strengthening the spleen and stomach, and raising blood pressure; pregnant women can sprinkle ginger foam in vegetable juice or use ginger foam to make tea instead of drinking tea.

3. Ingredients containing protein

What foods should pregnant women with low blood pressure eat? Foods containing protein are very good choices. Pregnant mothers can eat more easily digestible protein-rich foods, such as chicken, eggs, fish, cheese, milk, lotus seeds, red dates, mulberry seeds, etc. These foods have the effects of calming the brain and blood, strengthening the spleen, stomach and brain.

4. Moderate high cholesterol ingredients

Pregnant women can eat some cholesterol-rich foods during the period of hypotension, such as brain, liver, eggs, cream, fish roe, pork bones and other foods. These foods are beneficial to increase blood cholesterol concentration, increase arterial tension, and increase blood pressure.

5. Foods that warm the spleen and nourish the kidneys

Eat more lotus seeds, longan, red dates, mulberry seeds and other fruits. These fruits have the effects of calming the brain and blood, strengthening the spleen and stomach, and strengthening the brain.
