Pregnant women eat bird's nest small hair

In order to improve the nutrition during pregnancy, many pregnant women choose to eat bird's nest during pregnancy, hoping that the fetus can grow better. However, in the process of eating bird's nest, many pregnant women encounter the problem of fine hair inside the bird's nest. After such a problem occurred, whether pregnant women can eat bird's nest hair has become a question that many pregnant women are particularly concerned about. In daily life, many pregnant women hope to have a better understanding of these aspects.

Can the tiny hairs in bird's nest be eaten?

The hair inside a bird's nest is generally not edible. However, the feathers in bird's nest are the feathers of swiftlets, and the main component of feathers is protein. Feathers are chemical fibers that cannot be digested and absorbed and are not suitable for eating, so it is recommended to pick out the feathers before eating. But even if you eat it, it will be excreted from the body. Therefore, if the hairs in the bird's nest are not cleaned up and you accidentally eat it, there is no need to be overly worried and there is no danger to your life. All in all, eating a small amount of small bird's feathers will not have any effect on the body. And if you are a "Cancer" who pursues cleanliness far more than ordinary people, you can repeat the process several times, and the hairs in the bird's nest will certainly be picked out cleaner.

How to remove hair from bird's nest

Step 1: Soak the bird’s nest

Put the bird's nest in a bowl and pour in mineral water to soak it. Remember not to use drinking water, because drinking water belongs to "water hardness" and contains chlorine, which will affect the soaking and hair growth of the bird's nest. During the process of soaking the bird's nest, change the water every hour.

Step 2: Remove residue and fine hair

After the bird's nest has been soaked for about an hour, we can generally see some tiny bird hairs floating in the water. At this time, you can throw away the water used to soak the bird's nest, wash it, and then change to small water to soak it again.

When the bird's nest is slightly soft and can be rolled, rub the bird's horns, sac silk and other parts with more bird's hair vigorously, rub the fine hair attached to the surface of the bird's nest into the water, wash it again, and change to small water to soak it again.

What needs to be noted here is that the hard parts of the bird's nest, such as the bird's corners and base, can be kneaded hard before tearing them off. If they are still a little hard after pinching, do not tear them off forcefully, as this may damage the texture of the bird's nest, and affect the taste of the bird's nest when eating. You can soak the part that cannot be torn off for a while before tearing it off.

When the bird's nest is swollen to the point where it can be torn off, you can then use force and slowly tear it off along the grain.

Step 3: Prepare the tools

Prepare two milky white tea bowls in advance, one with water and one without water, and set them aside.

Also prepare a milky white porcelain plate, medical tweezers, a mesh sieve, and wooden chopsticks or sticks.

(The main reason for using white tea bowls and porcelain plates is that most bird's feathers are black or gray, and it is easier to find fine bird's feathers when picking them with white utensils.)

Step 4: Announce the Pick

After all the bird's nests are soaked and torn off, we can first clean the bird's nests with mineral water to wash away the bird's hair attached to the surface of the bird's nest. When changing the water in the fish tank, place the bowl at 45 degrees, discard the water with bird feathers on the surface, and then use a mesh sieve to catch the bird's nest, and repeat this several times.

Next, scoop up the bird's nest, select a small part of the bird's nest and put it on a white porcelain plate. First, use tweezers to pick out the large hairs. It is recommended to put a bowl of water around when picking. When picking out the hairs, dip the tweezers in the water, and the picked floating hairs will be sucked away by the water.

Fine hair can be picked out with tweezers or a wooden stick, or put in a colander with a bowl underneath, then rinse repeatedly with tap water, shake the colander back and forth and gently stir with tweezers. The fine hair will be washed away by the running water, and the depilation efficiency will be higher. But it should be noted that the water flow should not be too fast so as not to wash away the bird's nest.

After picking out the feathers, pour mineral water into the bowl with the bird's nest, rub it gently and vigorously, and throw away the fine hairs floating on the water. The bird's nest feathers are now clean and can be stewed!
