But Mohe is also the coldest place in China. Because it is located in the northernmost part of China, the temperature in winter can drop to -40 degrees Celsius, so you must be prepared to keep warm. Some friends went to Mohe for two days and their hands were frostbitten. So in addition to wearing down jackets and cotton pants, you should also wear hats, gloves and scarves.

In winter, you can experience the unique dog sledding in Mohe. You don't have to go abroad to experience the charm of sled dogs. There is also an ice house in Mohe. If you have a spirit of challenge, you might as well try it.

What to wear in Mohe in winter

shoe

There is ice and snow on the roads in the north in winter, and the road surface is slippery. It is best to wear anti-ski shoes. The shoes must be padded with cotton pads, which are preferably thick. Remember not to wear single leather boots, otherwise it is easy to frostbite your feet. High-top hiking shoes are also very practical.

clothing

First put on long-sleeved cotton underwear, then a woolen sweater (older people can wear a down vest), and finally a down jacket (preferably with a hood). Please note: Each piece of clothing should not be too large to prevent air from entering.

Pants

Ski pants are the best choice. If you don't have ski pants, you can put on pure cotton underwear, thick cotton wool pants, thick fleece pants, and assault pants from the inside to the outside. The pants should not be too short and should not expose the ankles.

I recommend one pair of cotton socks, one pair of thick wool socks, and a third pair if necessary.

Gloves

Be sure to bring a heating pad, which can be attached to the phone and the heating pad, otherwise the phone cannot be charged, especially the Apple phone. It can also be attached to the clothes to keep warm.

Things to note when traveling in Mohe in winter

1. Because the weather in Northeast China is dry outdoors and heated indoors, it is easy to get dry, so you should bring oily moisturizing products. It is also best to bring antifreeze cream and lip balm.

2. If you are traveling with children, make sure they are well kept warm. It is not recommended to join a tour group. You can charter a car and travel independently. The travel routes are more relaxed and mainly for leisure travel.

3. Keep the camera warm when you carry it. Wrap it with thick cloth when you enter the room. Otherwise, the camera will be covered with water droplets due to the large temperature difference between indoors and outdoors. Bring an extra battery and keep it close to your body.

4. The temperature in Northeast China is low, so people tend to drink a lot of alcohol and eat a lot of meat, but the taste is heavy. During the trip, drink as much water and eat as much fruit as possible. Due to the low temperature, the required calories increase accordingly. Lean meat, eggs, fresh fish, soy products, and animal liver are good for replenishing the body's calories. You can also bring some chocolate to replenish calories. In addition, it is best to travel with a thermos so that hot water can be drunk at any time.

5. The sunshine time in Northeast China is very short, and it is basically dark at 4:30 in the afternoon, so if you choose to travel independently, it is best to set out early and don't waste too much time on lunch.
