10-minute contractions without pain

10-minute contractions without pain

The 39th week of pregnancy has already entered the late stage of pregnancy, and the fetus is already full-term. No matter what you do at this time, you must be extra careful. Some women sometimes feel their stomach tightening and hardening during this stage. This phenomenon is called false labor. Although it is not the real uterine contraction yet, pregnant women should also pay attention to avoid fatigue. So what is the common reason for false uterine contraction at 39 weeks of pregnancy?

What is the reason for frequent uterine contractions without pain at 39 weeks of pregnancy?

Starting from the 28th week of pregnancy, "false contractions" will often occur in the abdomen. If a pregnant woman stands or sits in the same posture for a long time, she will feel her abdomen hardening from time to time (i.e. abdominal tightness), which is called "false labor". Its characteristics are that the time of its occurrence is irregular and its level is sometimes strong and sometimes weak. During labor, due to the expansion stimulation of the lower uterus caused by the descending fetal head, "false labor" will occur more and more frequently.

What to do if you have false labor at 39 weeks of pregnancy

False labor, also known as altered uterine contraction, occurs at different intervals between uterine contractions, possibly every ten minutes or more than an hour, without any regularity, and the duration of each contraction is also different, ranging from more than ten minutes to more than ten minutes.

Especially when the pregnant mother feels tired or excited, this phenomenon is more likely to occur. It is one of the signs of imminent delivery, but it is different from the regular uterine contractions before the real delivery, so it is also called "false labor", which often occurs within about 37 weeks of pregnancy. During labor, false labor will occur more and more frequently because the lower part of the uterus is stretched and stimulated by the descending fetal head.

If the above symptoms only occur occasionally and do not last long, and there is no vaginal bleeding, there is no need to worry, as it is mostly normal. If the above symptoms occur frequently and in a short period of time, and there are obvious abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, etc., you need to go to the hospital immediately to see a doctor to avoid accidents.

What is the difference between false labor and true labor?

The contractions before delivery are regular. In the early stage, the interval is about 10 minutes, and the pregnant woman feels abdominal cramps, and then the duration of the pain gradually increases to 40 seconds - 60 seconds. As the level increases, the time interval decreases to about 3-5 minutes. When abdominal pain occurs during uterine contractions, the lower abdomen may feel a little hard.

Some pregnant women may feel the pain of uterine contractions in the abdomen, while others may feel it in the waist. In fact, subtle uterine contractions may not be felt or may be similar to the lower abdominal pain during menstruation. The level of pain varies from person to person.

Are false labors at 39 weeks of pregnancy normal? Generally speaking, many pregnant women experience tightness and hardening of the abdomen in the late stages of pregnancy, especially after 37 weeks of pregnancy. It is normal to have false labor, and pregnant women do not need to worry too much, but they still need to pay attention to close observation to see if there is dull pain, falling and bleeding in the abdomen, because false labor can be accompanied by several symptoms and may lead to premature birth.
