Pregnant women's glucose tolerance is only high for one hour

Glucose tolerance refers to glucose tolerance. The test mainly tests blood sugar and postprandial blood sugar one hour and two hours after taking sugar, which are 6.0 mmol/L, 10 mmol/L and 7.8 mmol/L respectively. If any of the standard values reaches or exceeds the standard value, it indicates impaired glucose tolerance. The glucose tolerance is reduced, and the blood sugar level rises higher than normal, which may cause diabetes, pancreatitis, serious liver disease, hyperthyroidism, etc. Glycemic tolerance is improved, postprandial blood sugar is slightly low or normal, and the common symptom is low endocrine function. If you have abnormal glucose tolerance, be sure to take relevant medications according to the symptoms and pay attention to a low-calorie, low-sugar diet.

The glucose tolerance test generally accurately measures four blood sugar values: blood sugar, blood sugar value one hour after a meal, blood sugar value two hours after a meal and blood sugar value three hours after a meal. However, only 22 postprandial blood sugar values can be used to diagnose diabetes, that is, blood sugar and blood sugar value two hours after a meal. If the blood sugar is greater than 7.250mol/L and the blood sugar value two hours after a meal is greater than 11.1mmol/L, and accurate measurements are taken twice, diabetes can be diagnosed. High blood sugar level one hour after a meal only reflects relatively weak insulin function and cannot be diagnosed as diabetes.

The glucose tolerance test generally measures 4 blood sugar levels after meals: blood sugar level, blood sugar level 1 hour after a meal, blood sugar level 2 hours after a meal, and blood sugar level 3 hours after a meal. However, there are only two postprandial blood sugar levels that can be used to diagnose diabetes, namely blood sugar level and blood sugar level 2 hours after a meal. If the blood sugar level is greater than 7.250mol/L, or the blood sugar level is greater than 11.1mmol/L 2 hours after a meal, and the test is repeated on the same day and the postprandial blood sugar level is still above the standard value, diabetes can be diagnosed.

However, the blood sugar level one hour after a meal cannot be used to diagnose diabetes. It is generally not called impaired glucose tolerance. However, if the blood sugar is high one hour after a meal, I think the pancreatic function is still relatively weak. At this time, it is necessary to strictly control blood sugar through diet and exercise, and check blood sugar levels regularly.
