Seven months pregnant lower abdominal pain

Seven months pregnant lower abdominal pain

We all know that pregnancy is a very happy thing for every expectant mother, but the pregnancy process is extremely difficult, especially in the later stages of pregnancy, with the continuous expansion of the abdomen, increased body pressure, and difficulty walking. Many expectant mothers want to ask why they have abdominal pain in the seventh month of pregnancy. So what is the reason for the stabbing pain in the lower abdomen in the seventh month of pregnancy? What should I do?

What causes stomach pain during pregnancy?

As the fetus continues to grow, many mothers will feel intermittent pain in the second or third trimester of pregnancy. This is because the mother's abdomen and body pressure gradually increase, and as the delivery is approaching, the frequency of abdominal pain will continue to increase compared to the second trimester of pregnancy. Generally, this type of pain is divided into two types, namely physiological abdominal pain and physiological abdominal pain.

Physiological abdominal pain

As the baby grows day by day, the pregnant mother's uterus is also slowly expanding. The enlarged uterus will continue to irritate the outer edge of the ribs, causing rib pain. Generally speaking, this is physiological and does not require special treatment. In the late pregnancy, pregnant mothers sometimes experience lower abdominal pain due to false labor during the night. The pain usually lasts only a few seconds and can last for several hours. It is not accompanied by a feeling of falling and the symptoms can be relieved during the day.

Physiological abdominal pain

Placental abruption: It mostly occurs in the late pregnancy. The degree of abdominal pain is affected by comprehensive factors such as the size of the abruption area, the amount of blood, the level of internal uterine pressure, and whether the uterine muscle layer is damaged. Severe cases include unbearable abdominal pain, hard abdomen, decreased fetal movement, and even shock.

If a pregnant mother suddenly feels persistent severe pain in the lower abdomen, it may be a sign of premature birth or uterine rupture. You should go to the hospital for outpatient treatment immediately.

What to do if you have stomach pain during pregnancy

Do an ultrasound examination first and then start treatment to see what the fetal picture looks like in the seventh month of pregnancy. For women with biphasic body temperature during ovulation, if the high temperature phase continues for several days and does not show a decrease, the possibility of early pregnancy is high. However, the basic body temperature curve only reflects the function of the corpus luteum and cannot reflect the condition of the test tube embryo. Starting from the 37th week of pregnancy, pregnant mothers should do fetal heart monitoring once a week, using instruments to record the changes in the fetal heart rate at an instant. This is the basis for understanding the fetal movement and fetal heartbeat response during uterine contractions, and can also infer whether the fetus in the uterus is suffering from insufficient oxygen. If the pregnant mother has complications or illnesses, it is best to start fetal heart rate monitoring from the 28th to 30th week of pregnancy.

The above is some knowledge about the causes of abdominal pain in the seventh month of pregnancy and what to do. To sum up, if it is not severe pain, it may just be normal physiological abdominal pain. Just keep warm and maintain a happy body and mind. So, if the pain is severe, go to a regular hospital for B-ultrasound in time, listen to the doctor's instructions, and cooperate closely.
