How to relieve menstrual pain

Menstrual cramps are a very common thing for women, and many women experience the devastation of menstrual cramps every month. Some women experience severe back pain during menstruation, which is unbearable. In fact, there are many ways to relieve menstrual cramps, and there are also many ways to relieve dysmenorrhea and back pain. So how to relieve dysmenorrhea and back pain?

Tip 1: Heat

When menstruation comes, do you feel cold limbs, including the entire waist. At this time, putting something warm around your waist can relieve the pain instantly. Therefore, under the condition that conditions permit, lie flat on the bed, soak a cotton towel with warm water (to the extent that it is impermeable), and place it on the painful part of the waist and the sacrum slightly below, then put a hand warmer on top, apply heat for about 10 minutes, and then apply heat on both sides of the waist for 10 minutes each.

Tip 2: Supplement potassium and iron

The female body is at its weakest during its menstrual period. Proper adjustment of diet can effectively replenish the nutrients lost by the body and increase resistance. For example, eating some foods containing potassium and iron can relieve mood, suppress pain, prevent infection, and reduce excessive blood loss during menstruation. Supplement copper-rich foods, such as fish, animal liver, egg yolk and so on.

Tip 3: Press and rub the Hegu point

What women need most during their menstrual period is careful care, but many women don't quite know how to get through their menstrual period happily. Symptoms like low back pain during menstruation can actually be treated by massaging the Hegu point, especially for working women who cannot rest.

Acupoint location and pressing method: Close your ring finger and thumb, then you can see a protruding muscle. The highest point of this muscle is the Hegu point. When you have free time, use the thumb of your other hand to press the Hegu point lightly. Hold it for about 5 seconds each time, then release it and repeat. Do this for 3 minutes.

Hegu point has the effects of promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, regulating qi, and unblocking meridians. It has a certain analgesic effect, so ladies may wish to try it during their menstrual period.
