Molar pregnancy is the cause of male and female

Some people may have heard of such a strange phenomenon: in some remote areas, some women seem to be pregnant, especially in appearance, but in the end they cannot give birth to children. The more feudal older people usually say that they are pregnant with a monster. Actually, it is not. This is a condition of hydatidiform mole. So, who is responsible for hydatidiform mole, men or women?

What does hydatidiform mole mean?

Hydatidiform mole refers to the proliferation of villous trophoblasts in the embryo after pregnancy, high edema between the interstitial tissues, and the formation of small blisters of varying sizes. The small blisters are connected in clusters and shaped like red grapes, also known as small vesicular fetal masses. Hydatidiform mole is divided into two categories: blood pressure and complete hydatidiform mole. The embryonic villi are completely involved, the entire uterine cavity is filled with small blisters, focal trophoblastic hyperplasia, and no fetus and test tube embryo tissue can be seen; hematogenous partial hydatidiform mole. Some embryos swell and transform, some trophoblasts proliferate, and embryo and fetal tissues can be seen, but most fetuses die. Sometimes, live or deformed fetuses younger than the gestational age can be seen, and very few full-term babies are born.

Molar pregnancy is the cause of men and women

The true cause of hydatidiform mole is unclear, but it is mainly related to women. Pay attention to follow-up visits after treatment, and it is best to get pregnant again after 2 years. Generally speaking, women in their 30s and 40s are at the highest risk of developing hydatidiform mole when they become pregnant. In addition, although there is data that the incidence of superficial hydatidiform mole is about one in a thousand pregnancies, it most often occurs in women who become pregnant after the age of 40.

Therefore, hydatidiform mole is generally more related to women, and to a large extent it can be said to be the cause of women, especially for those older women, who are more likely to suffer from hydatidiform mole. Therefore, the editor advises female friends that if possible, it is best to give birth under age-appropriate conditions, as the risks of childbirth for older women are relatively high.
