Pregnant women are not allowed to take X-rays because the radiation source of X-rays is relatively large, which may cause test tube embryo deformity, IQ abnormalities, etc., especially when they are preparing to become pregnant for three months. If you have had direct X-rays, go to the hospital for examination when the fetus is older. 1. If you are exposed to direct X-rays when you are not sure you are pregnant, it should not be a big problem. 2. If the body develops some symptoms during pregnancy that need to be examined, if it can be diagnosed through other tests, try to diagnose through other tests. 3. If you want a routine physical examination, it is best to avoid X-ray examination. The basic principle of X-ray imaging is that X-rays can often make body tissues produce images on the screen or film. On the one hand, it is based on the penetrating power, fluorescence effect and photosensitive effect of X-rays; on the other hand, it is based on the differences in relative density and thickness among body tissues. When X-rays pass through different tissues in the body, they are absorbed to different degrees, so the amount of X-rays reaching the screen or film is different. In this way, an image with a different boundary between light and dark or a black and white contrast is produced on the screen or X-ray film. X-rays are actually a type of radio wave with a very short wavelength and high energy. The wavelength of X-rays used in medicine is approximately between 0.001 and 0.1 nm. The ability of X-rays to penetrate matter is related to the energy of the radiation photons. The shorter the wavelength of the X-ray light, the greater the energy of the photons and the greater the penetrating power. The penetrability of X-rays is also related to the relative density of the material. Materials with high relative density digest and absorb more X-rays and let less through; materials with low relative density digest and absorb less X-rays and let more through. By using the characteristics of differential absorption, bones with different densities can be distinguished from muscles, fat and other soft tissues, which is the physical basis of X-ray fluoroscopy and photography. The production of X-ray images is based on the following three basic conditions: first, X-rays have a certain degree of penetrability and can penetrate the tissues of the body; second, the tissues penetrated have differences in density and thickness, and the amount of X-rays absorbed during the penetration process is different, resulting in different amounts of remaining X-rays; third, these different remaining X-rays are not visible, but after the development process, such as through X-ray film, screen or TV display, an X-ray image with black and white contrast and layered differences can be obtained. |
