There is a lump in one breast that does not hurt

In daily life, although most female friends have done a lot for their own health and pay attention to their own hygiene, there are still many women suffering from breast diseases. Some women around us have lumps in their breasts but no pain, which makes many female friends feel very painful. This situation has also puzzled many patients, so patients must go to the hospital for examination and diagnosis in time to see what causes the symptom of lumps in the breasts but no pain.

There is a lump in the breast that is not painful

Most of the patients experience this kind of condition because of breast hyperplasia. The symptoms of breast hyperplasia are the growth of some lumps in different positions of the breast or high-incidence areas. The lumps are soft in color, with unclear boundaries, and can move. They are often accompanied by varying degrees of pain. The lumps will increase significantly and the pain will increase before menstruation, after fatigue or when angry. However, the actual reason still needs to be checked and diagnosed in the hospital. Only through the doctor's examination can it be determined what is the reason for having lumps in the breast but no pain.

Causes of Breast Pain

1. Regular breast pain: 40% to 60% of mastalgia patients belong to this type of breast pain, which is mainly caused by fluctuations in male hormones and metabolic disorders, resulting in irritation reactions in the breasts. It often occurs in women in their thirties and forties. Premenstrual breast swelling sometimes also causes pain. The symptoms are swelling or tenderness in both breasts. Patients can usually relieve the pain during pregnancy, taking birth control pills and after menstruation.

2. Non-cyclical breast pain: Clinically, it is a significant irregular occurrence. Some breast pain is often related to breast fibrocystic cysts, duct dilatation, and duct inflammation, accounting for about 35%, which is still considered good.

3. Non-breast causes: refers to pain that is not caused by breast diseases, including breast pain caused by chest trauma, surgical scars, abscesses, and costochondritis and cervical radiculopathy caused by sports injuries. The latter type of radiating pain often causes patients to misunderstand breast pain and seek help from breast surgery.

4. Breast cancer is also a type of breast pain: Although breast cancer is the least common cause of breast pain, as mentioned above, only about 7% of breast cancers manifest as breast pain, it is also the most important cause in the diagnosis of breast pain.
