Will I feel cold in the early stages of pregnancy?

Is it normal to feel cold during early pregnancy? In early pregnancy, you may feel cold. In the first three months before the fetus develops, the body temperature of pregnant women is slightly higher, which is manifested as fear of cold. After the fetus develops, the body temperature gradually returns to normal, and the increase in blood volume causes a relatively high heat flow in the body, which is manifested as not being afraid of cold in the later stages.

The reason for fear of cold in early pregnancy may also be weak physical fitness, or insufficient nutrition, such as insufficient intake of carbohydrates, fat, and protein. Another possibility is that the thyroid hormone is not high (hypothyroidism). In order to avoid fever and cold during pregnancy and affect the development of the baby, pregnant women are advised to pay attention to adding or removing clothes, get enough rest, and drink plenty of water. In addition, it is best to check thyroid hormone during pregnancy preparation or early pregnancy (preferably 8 weeks into pregnancy), which can prevent hypothyroidism from damaging the baby's IQ.

In addition to fear of cold in the early stages of pregnancy, pregnant women may also experience symptoms such as amenorrhea, dizziness, weakness in the limbs, drowsiness, loss of appetite, habitual nausea and vomiting, partial eclipse, preference for sour food, or aversion to greasy and special smells. In addition, breast development, nipple enlargement, darker color of nipples and areola, small nodules around the nipples, and even tingling and swelling in the breasts may occur. There will also be frequent urination and urgency, because in the third month of pregnancy, the uterus gradually grows in the pelvis, pressing on the bladder, which makes pregnant women have a constant urge to urinate. In the second trimester, the uterus will move upward to the abdomen, and the symptoms of frequent urination and urgency will improve immediately. But in the later stages of pregnancy, frequent urination and urgency will occur again.

In the early stages of pregnancy (the first 1-3 months of pregnancy), the mother's ovulation body temperature is maintained at a relatively high level, so most pregnant women are afraid of the cold, but it varies from person to person, and some people are not very afraid of the cold. Pregnant women's immunity and resistance will be reduced during pregnancy, so they will be more afraid of cold than usual, and will be more susceptible to illness than usual, and once they get sick, the illness will be twice as serious as usual.
