However, they don’t know that the pain of pregnant mothers after cesarean section is also quite great. Therefore, with the popularity of abdominal belts, they are becoming more and more popular. Abdominal belts have a great effect in relieving the pain of parturient women. Of course, the improper use of abdominal belts will definitely be counterproductive. Below, the editor will introduce to everyone the correct use of abdominal belts after giving birth.

Proper use of abdominal belt after cesarean section

After a caesarean section, doctors generally recommend that pregnant women use a restraint belt, which is beneficial for the body to restore shape after giving birth and prevent uterine prolapse, etc. However, the restraint belt must be used properly to achieve the best actual effect.

1. Choose the gauze restraint belt which is the most widely used in clinical medicine and has good air permeability.

2. First, prepare enough gauze and a safety paper clip. The pregnant woman lies flat on her back with her knees raised and her feet flat on the edge of the bed. The part of the thigh root above the knee should be as oblique as possible to the abdomen. Then lift the buttocks and place a cushion directly under the buttocks.

3. Place both hands on the lower abdomen, with the palms facing forward, and massage towards the heart to loosen up the internal organs. This will help to reposition the uterus.

4. Start from the toe bones and then tie to the belly button, a total of 12 circles. The first 7 circles should overlap and be folded diagonally every one and a half circles.

5. The oblique fold is to alternate the back and front of the abdominal band on both sides of the buttocks. When doing five circles to the back, each circle needs to be moved up two centimeters, finally covering the belly button, and fix the tail end with a safety paper clip. Each time must be done 12 circles.

The best time to use a belly band

For pregnant women who have undergone cesarean section, it can usually be used immediately after the operation. This is more conducive to the fixation of the wound, promote wound recovery, and prevent uterine prolapse. However, when choosing a restraint belt, it should be breathable and comfortable to wear.

Proper use of abdominal belts after cesarean section can promote rapid recovery of the body, prevent sagging of internal organs, and have a shaping effect. However, it is very important to choose an abdominal belt with good air permeability and master the correct operation and tightness of the abdominal belt.

Caesarean section has extremely high requirements on the physical fitness of the mother after delivery. At the same time, Caesarean section also puts forward higher requirements on the physical recovery of the mother. Therefore, the role of the abdominal belt cannot be ignored. It should be used appropriately under the advice and instructions of the doctor to achieve the best effect of quick recovery after childbirth.
