Raw Milk Overview

Raw Milk Overview

Raw milk is a traditional Chinese medicine that can promote the secretion of milk. It is used to treat yin qi and blood deficiency after giving birth, thin and insufficient milk. Its ingredients include Chuanxiong, Rehmannia root, Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Adenophora Root, Ophiopogon japonicus, Pangolin, Anemarrhena asphodeloides, etc., which can nourish blood, replenish qi, and nourish yin. Although raw breast milk is a traditional Chinese medicine prescription, excessive intake may affect the baby's growth and development and affect the safety factor of breast milk.

If you want to increase milk secretion, it is best to follow diet therapy. You can use red dates and pig's trotter soup, crucian carp and tofu soup, mutton soup, etc. to promote milk secretion.

Perhaps many mothers who do not have enough milk during the period of exclusive breastfeeding have heard of it, or even tried raw milk. Raw milk is actually a medicine used to stimulate lactation, and it is also a weapon used by many mothers to stimulate lactation. But for some mothers who have never tried this kind of lactation products, raw milk is relatively unfamiliar. Today we are going to talk about what raw milk is.

The common ingredients of raw milk mainly include Chuanxiong, Scutellaria, Adenophora, Rehmannia, Codonopsis, Ophiopogon, Anemarrhena, Pangolin, etc. It looks like a dark brown liquid with a sweet taste. The key function of raw milk is to achieve the effects of nourishing blood and qi, replenishing yin and promoting lactation through medicine. Generally speaking, pregnant women who suffer from yin blood deficiency and low milk supply after giving birth can take it.

In addition, pregnant women or breastfeeding women should not only avoid eating spicy foods, but also maintain a happy mood and not get angry, otherwise it will affect the effect of the raw milk.

Finally, in order to ensure the safety of the baby, when taking raw milk, the principle of "small amount first and then large amount" should be followed. Take a small amount first to see if the baby has skin allergies, diarrhea, fever, etc. after drinking milk. If so, send the baby to the hospital for examination in time. If not, the mother can increase the dosage according to the instructions.

Does raw milk work?

In the eyes of many older generations, during the confinement period or the period of exclusive breastfeeding, new mothers do not have enough milk, and drinking various tonic soups is the most effective way. However, drinking sugar water to stimulate lactation may not have any effect on some pregnant women. Therefore, many pregnant women have begun to look for other ways to promote lactation, such as taking raw milk. What if the raw milk tube is useless?

Normally, the breasts of pregnant women will begin to secrete milk within 24 hours after giving birth. You may experience insufficient milk three days after giving birth, but after a week, you will be able to basically meet the baby's physiological needs.

If a pregnant woman still has less breast milk one week after delivery, it is considered "postpartum lactation syndrome" and she needs to take certain medicines to induce lactation.

At present, there are mainly two types of lactation after childbirth, one is deficiency of Qi and blood, the other is stagnation of liver qi. The former is mainly treated by replenishing blood, qi and spirit, while the latter is treated by soothing the liver and regulating qi.

Raw milk is extracted from Chinese medicines such as Chuanxiong, Rehmannia, Scutellaria (honey moxibustion), Codonopsis, Adenophora, Ophiopogon, and Pangolin. Chuanxiong has the effects of nourishing blood, replenishing qi, and nourishing blood. Scutellaria baicalensis has the effects of nourishing qi and blood, strengthening qi, and removing sweat and detoxification. Rehmannia glutinosa can nourish yin, blood, and qi, and benefit the meridians and fill the marrow. Pangolin can relax meridians, promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, and promote lactation.

To sum up, raw milk does have the effect of promoting lactation, but everyone's physical fitness is different, and the actual effect after taking it will be slightly different.
