Female urine protein two plus signs

Female urine protein two plus signs

Normal people's urine contains no or only trace amounts of proteinuria, which cannot be detected by ordinary testing methods, so the result is negative. But in today's society, when some people go to the hospital for a physical examination and do a routine urine test, the results of the test show a plus sign for proteinuria. Some have one plus sign, but some have two or three plus signs or more.

What is the reason for the two plus signs in a woman's proteinuria?

First, infectious diseases, such as urethritis, cystitis, subacute pyelonephritis, chronic pyelonephritis, prostatitis, etc.

Second, kidney inflammation symptoms, such as acute nephritis, chronic nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, hypertensive nephropathy, diabetic nephropathy, lupus nephritis, seasonal allergic purpura nephritis, etc.

Third, urinary system tuberculosis or tumor.

Fourth, renal vascular diseases, such as renal artery stenosis, nutcracker syndrome, etc.

If a woman has proteinuria of 2+, she usually needs to complete relevant examinations to determine the cause of the disease, and a renal puncture biopsy can be performed for further confirmation if necessary.

Normal urine contains no or only trace amounts of protein, and the test result is negative (-). When the protein content in the urine rises to a certain amount, the test result is positive ().

Proteinuria 2 (, 2 plus signs) is the result of a 24-hour urine protein quantitative test. It can also be described as proteinuria 2 plus signs, proteinuria 2, and these descriptions all have the same meaning. Two plus signs in proteinuria mean that there is 1.0 to 2.0 g of protein in 1 L of urine, that is, 1.0 to 2.0 g/L.

Some of the protein will be filtered into the urine in the renal glomerulus, but will be absorbed in the renal tubules and return to the blood. Therefore, if the kidneys function normally, the amount of protein present in the urine is only a small amount. However, when the kidneys and ureters are blocked, excessive protein will immediately be released and become proteinuria.

In addition, proteinuria 2 (, 2 plus signs) may be caused by a variety of reasons such as exogenous cold and internal injuries. For example, unbalanced diet, spleen deficiency, etc. for too long, long-term accumulation in the body, will cause qi stagnation and blood stasis. These pathogenic factors will often aggravate the condition in the course of the entire medical history. In addition, the cause of proteinuria 2 is also related to physical fitness factors or immune factors.

All proteinuria conditions are physiological, and some are transient and physiological proteinuria. From a clinical point of view, two plus signs in proteinuria do not necessarily mean that you have kidney disease. Further examination is needed, such as urine examination, renal function B-ultrasound examination, 24-hour urine protein quantitative test, etc.

Proteinuria 2 plus signs, if the possibility of physiological proteinuria is ruled out, it can be confirmed to a large extent that the cause of proteinuria is damage to kidney function. Therefore, medication must be taken immediately.
