The uterus is one of the main female reproductive organs. It is the place where women create the fetus and where menstruation occurs. The uterus can be divided into the serosa layer, smooth muscle layer and uterine wall layer from the outside to the uterine cavity. The uterus can be divided into three parts anatomically: the fundus, the body and the cervix. The uterus is a muscular intracavitary organ that communicates with the outside world indirectly through the cervix and vagina.

Uterus previa refers to the fact that the cervix is ​​downward toward the posterior fornix, and its position in the vagina is lower. Therefore, during intercourse, semen is easily accumulated there, and the cervix is ​​easily soaked by semen, which is conducive to sperm crossing the cervical opening to meet the egg and cause pregnancy.

Therefore, the probability of pregnancy will be immediately higher for an anterior uterus. In medicine, a retroverted uterus is when the longitudinal axis of the uterus remains unchanged and the entire uterus tilts toward the lateral and posterior sides of the vagina. This is called a retroverted uterus. It is more common in clinical medicine. The retroverted uterus forms an obtuse angle with the cervix at the junction, which is called a retroflexed uterus. A retroflexed position is not as easy to get pregnant as an anteverted uterus.

The uterus is an organ like the palm of your hand. If it leans forward and toward the abdomen, it is in the anterior position. If the uterus is tilted backwards, that is, towards the back, it is called retroverted uterus.

Whether the uterus is in the front or back position, it is all normal. In folklore, some people have a retroverted uterus and are not easy to get pregnant. Clinically, this statement has been found to be incorrect. Regardless of whether the uterus is anterior or posterior, as long as there is no pathological condition, pregnancy is still possible, and the probability of pregnancy is basically the same, with no difference. In clinical medicine, it is found that the position of the uterus in many diseases is the same, such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, etc. In other words, this disease has nothing to do with the position of the uterus. It will occur regardless of whether the uterus is in the anterior or posterior position.
