What to do if you feel anal prolapse after childbirth

Women have a very difficult time when they are pregnant, especially when they have to endure a lot of discomfort. Many pregnant women think that everything will be fine after giving birth to a baby. In fact, it is not that comfortable after giving birth. There will still be many discomforts, such as constipation, pain in the anus, etc.

The pain and heaviness at the anus after childbirth usually subsides after one month. Women have a feeling of anal prolapse after giving birth, which is mostly caused by bruising the anal sphincter during delivery. After giving birth, the obstruction of female venous return will subside, the secretion of estrogen will decrease, and the cruciate ligament will gradually recover. Therefore, the symptoms of anal prolapse usually subside in about a month. If there is no improvement after a long time, you should go to the anorectal department for examination and treatment.

Women can improve the feeling of anal prolapse by doing anal lifting exercises after giving birth. Anal lifting exercises can improve local blood circulation and exercise the cruciate ligaments around the anus, thereby reducing recovery time. Pregnant women can do 60 anal lifting exercises every day, which can be divided into 2 times in the morning, noon and evening.

Pregnant women are very prone to constipation, and constipation can aggravate the feeling of anal prolapse. Therefore, pregnant women need to maintain smooth bowel movements, which can reduce blood accumulation in the duodenal venous plexus and thus reduce anal prolapse. It is better to eat more cellulose-rich foods, such as lettuce, broccoli and oatmeal.

Anal prolapse can be caused by a variety of diseases and is a disease that cannot be ignored. The author had encountered several patients with anal prolapse in clinical medicine, and examination confirmed that they had late-stage rectal cancer. Generally, the most common cause of anal prolapse is inflammatory diseases such as anal sinusitis and proctitis. In addition, anorectal diseases such as prolapsed internal hemorrhoids, rectal mucosal prolapse, external hemorrhoid skin twitching, anal papillary hypertrophy, anal papilloma and low-positioned rectal polyps can also cause the feeling of anal prolapse. It has also been found in clinical medicine that a very small number of patients with anal prolapse are caused by anal duodenal neurosis and fecal impaction.
