How to read the leucorrhea test report

Normal leucorrhea is odorless, and vaginal discharge can directly reflect whether a woman's body is healthy or not. You can go to a regular hospital for a vaginal discharge test and make a judgment based on the test results. There are ten tests for vaginal discharge. We often have a habit of simply looking at the test results after they come out. Even if we don't understand what they mean, we will subconsciously take a look. So how do you judge the ten-item test list of vaginal discharge?

1. pH: If it is 5-6, it means you have Trichomonas vaginitis.

Generally, vaginal secretions are acidic, which can prevent pathogens from multiplying in the female vagina. pH expresses the pH value in the vagina. The standard value is 4.5. When suffering from candidal or bacterial vaginosis, the pH of vaginal secretions increases and may exceed 5-6.

2. The cleanliness of leucorrhea is divided into 4 levels: Ⅰ-Ⅱ degrees are normal, Ⅲ-Ⅳ degrees are abnormal vaginal discharge, indicating Trichomonas vaginitis.

Grade I: Many vaginal squamous epithelial cells and many vaginal streptococci are seen under an optical microscope.

Grade II: Microscopic examination reveals vaginal squamous epithelial cells, a small white blood cell count, some vaginal streptococci, and a small amount of fungi or pus balls.

Grade III: Microscopic examination revealed a small amount of intravaginal streptococci, as well as a large number of pus balls and fungi.

Grade IV: No streptococci are seen in the vagina under the microscope. In addition to a small amount of squamous epithelial cells, the main components are pus balls and fungi.

3. Fungi and Trichomonas: The “+” sign indicates that you may be infected with Trichomonas or fungi.

After the vaginal secretions have been processed, their shapes can be used to detect the presence of Trichomonas or fungi under a microscope. If Trichomonas or fungi are present, no matter how many there are, they will be indicated by a "+". However, the "+" mark only indicates that you are infected with Trichomonas or fungi, and does not indicate the severity of your infection.

On the day of a routine gynecological examination, you should wear clothes that are convenient for examination. A skirt of appropriate length is the most appropriate choice. The testing time should avoid the menstrual period, and it is best to choose the period from the end of the menstrual period to before ovulation to take the test. You should choose to take a shower the night before a routine gynecological examination, and you should not wash your vulva within 24 hours before the examination, because this will wash away abnormal secretions and some potential tumor cells that can be detected through incision, affecting the doctor's correct diagnosis.

The best time to check leucorrhea

Since vaginal discharge is an important indicator of women's health, female friends should check it regularly. So when is the best time to check vaginal discharge? Theoretically, as long as it is not the menstrual period, women can have a leucorrhea examination. However, because the cervix is dilated during menstruation, it is not suitable for examination. Therefore, doctors recommend that leucorrhea examination should be done 3 to 7 days after the end of the menstrual period. If done in this way, the test results will be relatively accurate and the harm of the test to the body can be minimized. Female friends should always pay attention to their own health conditions. It is best to see a doctor regularly every year to conduct leucorrhea examinations. If any abnormalities are found in vaginal discharge, they should go to the hospital for examination in time, so that the family can be more harmonious and happy.
