2 years after bilateral oophorectomy

2 years after bilateral oophorectomy

The ovaries are the most critical organs in the female body. When both ovaries are removed, it will easily cause great impact on the body within 2 years. First of all, the removal of both fallopian tubes will easily lead to infertility in women, and it will also easily affect normal hormone secretion. Under normal circumstances, women's estrogen is secreted by the ovaries. When the ovaries are removed, women will not secrete estrogen.

If it is artificially removed, the impact will be:

1. Infertility

For women, having their ovaries removed is equivalent to having a sterilization operation. They lose their ovulatory organs and naturally become unable to have children.

2. Menopause

In addition to ovulation, the ovaries also have the function of hormone secretion. Estrogen and progesterone are both secreted by the ovaries. Hormone secretion will naturally be affected after oophorectomy. If a woman has bilateral oophorectomy, the level of hormone secretion in the body will drop rapidly. Usually, the hormone secretion in the body reaches the menopausal level in about 7 days, and she naturally enters menopause.

3. Decreased libido

The main reason for decreased libido is the decrease in estrogen secretion, which leads to vaginal dryness. In this case, you can supplement some estrogen appropriately.

If it disappears naturally, it is a natural phenomenon caused by aging, and it basically appears gradually after the age of 50. People can accept it more or less, and since the whole body is aging, it will not feel very unbearable.

The ovary is the female gonad organ. Its main function is to produce eggs, ovulate and secrete female hormones, which are called the reproductive function and endocrine function of the ovary respectively. The cyclical changes of the ovaries can lead to cyclical changes in the endometrium, resulting in menstruation; ovulation can make women pregnant.

If both ovaries are removed, these two functions will be lost, and the reproductive function and endocrine function will be lost. One problem women have is that they cannot get pregnant, and the other is that they do not have menstruation, which leads to menopause, which is called artificial menopause. After menopause, due to the lack of maintenance of various hormones, women will soon develop some symptoms of perimenopausal syndrome and some complications. Therefore, after bilateral oophorectomy, artificial menopause will bring about a series of side effects.
