Why did AIDS not exist in ancient times but only appeared in modern times? Discuss the origin and prevention of AIDS

Since AIDS was discovered in the United States on June 5, 1981, as of the end of 2021, more than 80 million people have been infected with HIV worldwide, and more than 35 million have died of AIDS or AIDS-related diseases. China discovered its first imported AIDS case in Beijing in 1985. As of the end of 2021, there are 1.06 million HIV-infected people alive and about 300,000 deaths.

AIDS has a very high mortality rate, and many people are terrified by the mention of it. Therefore, many people have a question: where did AIDS come from? Why didn't AIDS exist in ancient times?

There are many theories about the origin of AIDS. Since AIDS was first reported in the United States in 1981, some people even think that it was caused by Americans drinking too much coffee. However, there are currently three more convincing theories.

1. Spontaneous generation theory. Gallo first proposed this theory. He believed that HIV existed in animals for a long time, but it mutated in modern times and began to spread among humans. Due to the global population mobility in modern times, it led to the global outbreak of AIDS. The most suspected animal is the chimpanzee, and this theory is currently recognized by the academic community.

Second, the error theory. This theory believes that AIDS is caused by errors in the development of modern medicine and global immunization programs. In 1999, an American journalist named Hooper published a book called "The River". The book said that the Philadelphia Whitsun Institute used chimpanzee kidneys to produce several batches of polio vaccines. Between 1957 and 1961, about 1 million Africans were vaccinated with the vaccine, and AIDS began to spread.

3. Conspiracy theory: Japanese scientists believe that this was accidentally created during American genetic research; Russian and Eastern European scientists believe that this is a US biological weapon.

The second and third theories were denied based on some later experiments and facts, and the only source of AIDS is nature.

So how did AIDS spread to humans? We all know that there are three ways of transmission of AIDS: mother-to-child transmission, sexual transmission, and blood transmission. AIDS is believed to have originated from chimpanzees, so many people want to know what the first person infected with AIDS did to chimpanzees. It is currently believed that African tribes were infected because their wounds came into contact with chimpanzee blood during a fight with chimpanzees. Scientists believe that this happened many times until around 1930. Around 1930, sexually transmitted diseases were very serious in cities in African colonies, and prostitution venues were everywhere. This led to the spread of AIDS among humans.

Why didn’t it exist in ancient times?

Many people believe that AIDS is an inevitable product of civilization reaching a certain stage of development. On the one hand, it is due to the rapid development of modern science, and on the other hand, it is due to the ills of today's society, such as drug abuse, homosexuality and sexual liberation.

1. Homosexuality. Homosexuality has existed since ancient times. In ancient times, there was the love between Longyang and Duanxiu. It is only in recent years that homosexuality has come out of the underground.

Second, sexual liberation. At present, most people infected with AIDS are infected through sexual contact, mainly through male-to-male transmission, and the highest probability of infection is through male homosexual intercourse.

3. Drug abuse. Infection can occur through sharing syringes, but HIV infection can also occur because there are HIV-infected people among drug users.

How to prevent and treat AIDS?

1. Learn about AIDS. Only by understanding AIDS can we better prevent and treat it.

2. Avoid taking drugs in any way.

3. Whether having sexual intercourse with the same sex or the opposite sex, condoms must be used correctly throughout the process and every time.

4. Prevent mother-to-child transmission. Before pregnancy, you must do a check-up. If you are diagnosed during pregnancy, you must do blocking treatment, which is very effective.
