What stage of breast cancer requires chemotherapy first

Although breast cancer has a high incidence rate, with today's medical level, breast cancer is no longer an incurable disease. However, when people hear about cancer, they often panic and become afraid because they believe that the onset of cancer is a signal that life is about to end. In fact, breast cancer is divided into several stages. It can be cured in the early stages, but it is relatively more difficult to treat in the late stages. However, as long as you actively cooperate and receive targeted treatment, you can still prolong your life. Therefore, women should understand the symptoms and prevention measures of breast cancer so as to stay away from the harm of breast cancer.

At what stage of breast cancer does chemotherapy need to be performed first?

Whether chemotherapy is needed after surgery is determined based on the pathological condition of breast cancer after surgery. The treatment of breast cancer is relatively complex. Surgery is the treatment of choice for early-stage breast cancer. According to the postoperative pathological stage and the specific molecular classification of breast cancer, different types of breast cancer treatment plans can be used as postoperative adjuvant therapy. However, the effect after surgery and whether chemotherapy is really needed should be judged by the doctor based on the patient's condition.

Early signs of breast cancer:

1. Skin changes

Common findings include superficial venous distention, dimple signs, and orange peel-like skin. Inflammatory breast cancer patients may have large areas of darkening, induration, and thickening of the chest skin, with cancerous plaques and ulcers forming an armor-like chest wall. Advanced breast cancer may break out superficially, forming ulcers or cauliflower-like neoplasms.

2. Nipple discharge

Breast cancer with discharge in the early stages does not account for a large proportion of breast cancers and is more common in intraductal carcinoma and papillary carcinoma. Bloody discharge is the most common, followed by serous, serous-bloody, and watery discharges. Breast cancer with discharge as the only symptom is extremely rare, and most of them are early intraductal carcinoma and papillary carcinoma. Most breast cancers with discharge are first discovered with a lump and then accompanied by discharge.

3. Frequent pain with unknown cause

In the early stage, there is a painless lump. When breast cancer is combined with cystic hyperplasia, there may be distension and dull pain. Pain in the late stage of breast cancer often indicates that the tumor directly invades the nerves. The pain symptoms are more obvious and the patient's suffering is deepened.

4. The nipple is near the center with nipple retraction

Patients with early breast cancer often have mild concavity in the breast skin, nipple erosion, nipple asymmetry, or thickening and coarsening of the breast skin and enlarged pores.

Ways to prevent breast cancer:

1. Avoid using hot water to stimulate the breasts when taking a bath, and do not soak in hot water for a long time. The water temperature for bathing should be around 27℃. Regular sex life can promote breast blood circulation, increase sex hormone secretion, which is beneficial to women's breast health.

2. Insist on excessive exercise. Exercise not only helps to keep breasts healthy, but also reduces the incidence of breast diseases. Compared with no exercise, exercising 4 hours a week can reduce the risk of breast cancer by 60%. How can we prevent breast cancer in daily life? Exercising regularly is also a form of prevention.

3. Keep a happy and relaxed mood and ensure adequate sleep. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that music has the effect of promoting blood circulation, invigorating the spirit, and preventing and treating breast diseases.

4. Keep a good posture with your chest up and abdomen in at all times. A woman's back is closely related to breast health. When walking, keep your back straight and your breasts naturally upright. When sitting or standing, you should also keep your chest up and your head held high.

5. Wear less chest binding or tight clothing, and use bras reasonably. How should we prevent breast cancer in daily life? The right type of bra is very important for breast health. It is best to choose a soft, breathable and absorbent cotton bra. Usually, you should pay attention to the hygiene of your bra and be sure to take it off when you sleep.

6. Use breast enhancement products with caution. Eating a certain amount of fish, meat and dairy products in daily life can add a small amount of fat and keep the breasts full.

The following types of food have certain preventive and therapeutic effects on breast cancer patients:

1. Cabbage, Chinese cabbage, kale, etc. contain the anti-cancer substance indole-3-carbinol, which can prevent carcinogens in the body from inducing tumor cells and inhibit tumor growth.

2. Tofu, soybean sprouts, soy milk and other bean products contain a lot of plant estrogens, which can competitively inhibit the effects of estrogen in the body and have an anti-cancer effect.

3. Garlic, onion, etc. contain allicin, which can block the synthesis of nitrosamines. They also contain ingredients such as vitamin C and vitamin A, which can play an anti-cancer role.

4. Asparagus contains histones, which have been shown to effectively control the growth of breast cancer cells. In addition, foods such as kelp, tomatoes, and seaweed contain a large amount of anti-cancer ingredients, and regular consumption has certain benefits for breast cancer patients.
