Ovulation test strips and body temperature are out of sync

For a normal woman, the body will release an egg every month. Because the hormones in the body change during the ovulation process, some physical phenomena that are different from normal life will occur. Many women will clearly feel that their body temperature will rise during ovulation, but why are the ovulation test strips and body temperatures different?

How to determine ovulation?

The ovulation test strip is measured based on urine. When the two lines shown on the test strip are equally dark, it means positive. When the display line exceeds the comparison line, it means strong positive. At this time, it is judged that ovulation will occur within 24 hours.

The basal body temperature measurement method says that the egg is released on the day the body temperature rises, so both methods have a time range and are not the kind that display instantly, so some asynchrony is normal.

Precautions for ovulation test strips and temperature measurement

If you are using an ovulation test strip, do not use first-morning urine. Do not drink water for four hours before use to ensure the concentration of urine. If you drink a lot of water before testing, the result will certainly be affected.

If you use the basal body temperature measurement method, you need to measure the oral body temperature when you wake up after a long sleep, and you cannot eat, talk, turn over, etc. before measuring.

If you use the two methods in combination, you should pay attention to the time range. If the ovulation test paper shows a strong positive result, it means that ovulation will occur within 24 hours. If you measure the basal body temperature and find that the body temperature is rising, it means that ovulation has already occurred. There is a time error. If you want to be more accurate, you can also choose a more accurate semi-quantitative test paper, which can accurately determine the ovulation time within 12 hours.
