How long can you live after chemotherapy for breast cancer?

Breast cancer is a relatively serious malignant tumor disease. After suffering from breast cancer, patients must actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment so as to control the spread of cancer cells. In the process of treating breast cancer, chemotherapy becomes a very important method because it can kill cancer cells and control the development of the disease. But many patients are also worried about how long they can live after breast cancer chemotherapy?

How long can you live after chemotherapy for breast cancer?

1. Having breast cancer is not scary, and a breast cancer diagnosis is not equivalent to a death sentence. In fact, breast cancer is one of the most treatable cancers. Nearly 70% to 80% of breast cancer patients have not yet developed metastasis when the disease is diagnosed, and the 5-year survival rate of these patients is as high as 80%, so it is recommended that you actively cooperate with the treatment.

2. If early breast cancer is treated properly, the cure rate can be over 90%, and there will be no recurrence for 8-10 years. Moreover, early breast cancer is mostly treated with a comprehensive approach of breast-conserving surgery in European and American countries. Breast-conserving surgery has also been carried out in my country for nearly 10 years, and the cure rate of early breast cancer is still relatively high. Improving human immunity, inhibiting the growth and spread of cancer cells, inducing cancer cell apoptosis, and reversing the abnormal differentiation of cancer cells can help relieve patients' pain, prolong their lives, and improve their quality of life.

What to eat after breast cancer chemotherapy

1. Patients must ensure adequate nutrition during chemotherapy, increase protein intake appropriately, eat more lean meat such as chicken, pork and fish, eat less high-fat animal food, and avoid fried, grilled, pan-fried and other foods.

2. After radiotherapy and chemotherapy, patients should eat more fresh seasonal fruits, such as grapefruit, apple, pomegranate, banana, kiwi and grape. Banana extract has a significant inhibitory effect on the carcinogen aflatoxin; kiwi fruit is rich in vitamin C and is known as the "king of fruits", which can supplement the human body with sufficient vitamins; grapes can inhibit the spread and metastasis of deteriorating white blood cells.

In fact, even if you get breast cancer, you will not necessarily die soon. On the contrary, with the help of modern medicine, many female friends with breast cancer are still alive for many years after active treatment. So if you are unfortunately diagnosed with this disease, don't give up. You must adjust your mentality, actively seek treatment, and believe that this disease can be cured.
