At what age do girls usually start menstruating?

Menstruation is a normal part of female development, but the timing of menstruation varies depending on the different developmental characteristics of women. Because the timing of a woman's menstruation is affected by many factors, there will be some differences. For example, some women develop earlier, so their menstruation will be slightly earlier, but for most women, their menstruation time is about the same. So at what age do girls usually start menstruating?

1. Girls usually start menstruating at the age of 13-14. Due to factors such as nutrition, genetics, environment, weight, and disease, it may start menstruating as early as 11 years old, or be delayed to between 15 and 17 years old. Some people with congenital abnormalities in reproductive organ development may not have normal menstruation. The feedback mechanism of the gonad axis (hypothalamus-pituitary-ovary) is not perfect, and the menstrual cycle has not yet become regular. It is easy to be advanced or delayed. You should usually keep your emotions stable, have an optimistic and cheerful attitude, increase your intake of dietary nutrients, and avoid excessive dieting to lose weight.

2. Generally, it is normal no earlier than ten years old and no later than eighteen years old. Children nowadays are fed too much nutrition, which causes them to develop too fast, so they usually start menstruating at a younger age. There is no other impact, except that after menstruation, your height will grow more slowly, and may stop growing in a few years. Generally, the height can be increased by three to ten centimeters after menstruation, but some girls learn to be more beautiful after menstruation and are afraid of gaining weight. They always eat very little when eating and do not like to eat meat, which will hinder their growth.

3. After a girl starts menstruating, her height growth will be slower, which is completely different from the development stage before menarche. After a tall girl gets her period, she is actually close to puberty, so her growth will begin to slow down. So a girl can grow about three centimeters a year after her first menstruation. The rate of height growth is actually closely related to the girl's age. Between the ages of 10 and 16 is the period of fastest height development, which can also be seen from the bones.
