Can I get pregnant if I have sex after my ovulation period?

You can have sex after the ovulation period, but you must also pay attention to contraceptive methods during the process. Many people take it lightly because they have just passed the ovulation period, which will lead to an unexpected pregnancy. Therefore, you should still wear condoms and try not to take birth control pills. These drugs can cause great harm to women's bodies. On the contrary, condoms are a good contraceptive measure.

As the follicle develops and matures, it gradually migrates to the surface of the ovary and protrudes outward. As the follicle approaches the surface of the ovary, the surface cells become thinner and eventually rupture. After most of the follicular fluid flows out, the egg is discharged, which is called "ovulation". If the menstrual cycle is very regular, a woman's ovulation date is generally about 14 days before the next menstrual period.

Generally, the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, together with the ovulation day, a total of 10 days are called the ovulation period. After the egg is released from the ovary, it can survive in the fallopian tube for 1 to 2 days, waiting for fertilization; the male's sperm can maintain its fertilization ability in the female's reproductive tract for 2 to 3 days, so it is easy to get pregnant through sexual intercourse a few days before and after the egg is released. Because it is easy to get pregnant through sexual intercourse during the ovulation period, the ovulation period is also called the fertile period or the dangerous period. Blood hormone levels, cervical mucus, vaginal exfoliated cell examination, and B-ultrasound can all help determine ovulation.

The follicles develop and mature under the action of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). Within 24 hours before PL, there will be a peak in LH, and it will definitely occur. Therefore, we use PL test paper to detect this peak. When the color of the second line of the test paper is close to, the same as, or exceeds the color of the first line, you know that PL is expected within 24 hours. It's very intuitive and clear, and there's plenty of time to prepare.

It should be noted that the appearance of two lines (i.e. positive) does not necessarily mean ovulation. There are also weak positive and strong positive. Only when a strong positive appears (i.e. the two lines are almost the same color or the test line is darker than the control line) does it indicate that ovulation will occur within 24-48 hours.

Therefore, when a strong positive appears, test twice or more per day. If the color starts to lighten, then the previous measurement was the peak.

The specific testing method is usually explained on the ovulation test paper packaging (you must strictly follow the instructions to minimize errors). and

The difference between early pregnancy test strips and early pregnancy test strips is that you cannot use morning urine, and try to use urine samples collected at the same time every day.

Water intake should be reduced in the 2 hours before urination, as a diluted urine sample will also hinder the detection of the LH peak. If the menstrual cycle is relatively regular, then

14 days before the menstrual period (that is, the expected ovulation time), measure for six consecutive days on the three days before and three days after this time; if the menstruation is irregular or abnormal, generally start measuring on the third day after the menstruation ends. When the two lines on the test paper are the same depth or the second line is darker than the first, it means that ovulation will occur within 24 to 48 hours. For other test results, please refer to the diagram in the instruction manual.
