Cervical squamous cell carcinoma is a malignant tumor. Generally speaking, in most people's minds, malignant tumors are usually incurable and the life expectancy is not too long. Therefore, after suffering from cervical squamous cell carcinoma, what people are more concerned about is the mortality rate of this disease. Cervical squamous cell carcinoma usually occurs in women, and the incidence rate is higher in middle-aged women. Is squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix fatal? After treatment, the five-year survival rate of cervical adenosquamous carcinoma is about 55%. It can be as high as 82% in stage one, less than 60% in stage two, 30% in stage three, and less than 10% in stage four. Therefore, it can be seen that the earlier the disease is treated, the higher the survival rate. This disease is prone to relapse after treatment. Nearly half of patients will relapse within one year after treatment, 1/4 of patients may relapse in the second year, and 5% of patients will relapse after five years. Therefore, everyone should have a check-up once a month after treatment, and once every two months in the second year. Under normal circumstances, the development speed of cervical adenocarcinoma is not particularly fast. If it can be detected and treated early, the prognosis will be very good. If you treat the disease yourself only after it develops to the late stage, the effect will be very poor. In fact, prevention of cervical cancer is often more important than treatment. As long as women have sexual life, they are likely to develop this disease. If economic conditions permit, women after the age of 25 must do HPV and TCT tests when doing gynecological examinations. If economic conditions are average, then everyone should do it every three years. If the test result is positive, you need to do TCT again. If TCT does not find precancerous lesions, you can wait half a year and check HPV again. Cervical squamous cell carcinoma precautions 1. Nursing in daily life We must pay attention to the care of daily life, including some environmental factors and the patient's needs in life. These are all very necessary, as well as the patient's personal hygiene, which also needs good care. 2. Closely monitor the condition After the operation, you must carefully observe the patient's condition, especially pay attention to some of the patient's normal vital signs, such as body temperature, blood pressure, respiration, etc., and let the patient maintain smooth breathing. 3. Oral care During chemotherapy, since chemotherapy drugs can damage the oral mucosa, oral lesions can be focal or diffuse, and can even involve the entire oral mucosa and cause stomatitis. Chemotherapy also often leads to changes in the quantity and quality of saliva, causing dryness in the mouth and a decrease in the pH value of saliva. This acidic environment can easily promote the growth and reproduction of fungi. |
