Will Yin deficiency and excessive fire affect menstruation?

People with Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire often feel irritable and easily angered, their bodies are prone to dry mouth and tongue, and they feel very uncomfortable. In fact, most people with Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire may have irregular menstruation, such as short menstrual cycles and heavy menstrual flow. These should be treated according to personal physical conditions, so that recovery will be faster, and corresponding judgments should be made based on physical signs.

Symptoms and signs

Symptoms of Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire: Yin deficiency cannot control Yang, causing Yang to be relatively hyperactive and develop into Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire syndrome. The syndrome of Yin deficiency and excess of fire can focus on different organs. Clinically, the heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys are the main organs affected.

(I) Main symptoms: dry throat and mouth, irritability, fever, and red tongue.

(ii) Clinical manifestations: dry throat and mouth, fever, irritability, red tongue, and thready pulse. Or there may be frequent dreams at night, palpitations, a tearing tongue, short and red urine (heart fire), or headache, flushed face, dry and painful eyes, bitter taste in the mouth, dry and hard stools, and a wiry pulse (liver fire), or a dry cough with little sputum and blood in the sputum (lung fire), or hot flashes with bone steaming, red cheeks and rising fire, spermatorrhea in men, and even erectile dysfunction, and women having sex in dreams (kidney fire). The fire of each organ can appear alternately.

(III) Analysis of the syndrome: The mechanism of the various symptoms of this syndrome is that, first, yin deficiency causes heat, yin deficiency causes dryness, and yin deficiency causes more movement than rest; second, there is excessive fire in one or several organs.

(IV) The development and impact of this syndrome: This syndrome mostly manifests as a chronic process. As the condition progresses, the more deficient the Yin is, the more likely the fire is to flourish, and the more flourishing the fire is, the more damaged the Yin is, forming a vicious cycle. The condition becomes increasingly severe, often leading to depletion of kidney Yin and kidney essence, and even the critical condition of Yin exhaustion and Yang excess.

Clinical manifestations of Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire: hot flashes in the afternoon, or fever at night, unwillingness to wear clothes due to fever, hot palms and soles, or hot flashes due to bone steaming, irritability, insomnia, frequent dreams, red cheeks, night sweats, dry mouth and throat, dry and hard stools, scanty and yellow urine, dry and red tongue with cracks, no or little coating, and a thin and weak pulse. Or accompanied by recurrent oral ulcers, pain, dizziness, back pain and fatigue, etc.

The onset of oral ulcers is due to "heat in the heart and spleen", and is also inextricably linked to yin deficiency and excessive fire. Recurrent and habitual oral ulcers, in particular, are generally caused by kidney yin deficiency and heart and spleen heat. In other words, oral ulcers can be cured while regulating Yin deficiency and excessive fire.

Treatment

Symptomatic Chinese medicine: Symptomatic Chinese medicine includes Liuwei Dihuang Pills, Zhibai Dihuang Pills, Yunu Jian, etc. Whether you need to take medicine and what kind of medicine you need to take should be determined by a doctor after diagnosis by a Chinese medicine practitioner.

Liuwei Dihuang Pills is a famous prescription for nourishing yin and tonifying the kidney. It is also easy to buy Chinese patent medicine on the market. It can be taken by anyone who has the syndrome of yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire, but it should not be taken during a cold. In addition to taking medicine, the best way to nourish Yin is of course to lead a healthy daily life, because excessive fatigue, sleep at night, and excessive thinking will damage Yin.
