How long does it take for menstruation to be clean after childbirth?

It is not so easy for mothers after giving birth, especially during the period of physical recovery, there are many things they need to pay attention to. If they don’t pay enough attention, problems will occur in their bodies. At that time, treatment will make things more difficult. In addition, you should observe the changes in menstruation after giving birth. If it is always abnormal, you need to go to the hospital for a detailed examination.

From a medical perspective, we can infer when menstruation will come after delivery based on the structure and morphology of the endometrium. Approximately 33 to 42 days after delivery, the ovaries will be able to ovulate normally. In addition, the corpus luteum can also be observed six weeks after delivery. Therefore, if the mother does not breastfeed, menstruation usually comes within six to eight weeks after delivery.

Statistics show that this situation accounts for about 60% of all parturients. This kind of depression symptom often occurs within 3 days after delivery, which is commonly known as the "three days of depression after delivery." For most people, this phenomenon lasts for 5-10 days, and the above symptoms will be alleviated or disappear, so they are easily ignored.

Some studies have shown that postpartum depression is related to the following factors:

Hormonal factors: The sharp drop in estrogen and progesterone levels in women during the postpartum period, as well as the decrease in catecholamine secretion, which is closely related to emotional activities, is one of the important causes of mental disorders.

Personality factors: Studies have found that people who are introverted, sentimental, and sulky are more likely to suffer from postpartum depression than those who are cheerful and lively.

Reasons due to illness, etc.: Postpartum fever, urinary retention, neurasthenia, insufficient milk secretion affecting breastfeeding, etc. are all common postpartum symptoms. If not treated in time, the condition will be delayed or aggravated, which will increase depression. Family discord: There are usually many conflicts between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, and between husband and wife. If quarrels or conflicts occur over trivial matters after childbirth, it may cause symptoms of depression syndrome.

Although postpartum depression is mostly transient and the symptoms will not exist for a long time, it is still necessary to provide patient and detailed guidance and persuasion to mothers who have already developed symptoms. This helps eliminate abnormal psychological states such as anxiety.

The husband plays an important role in this regard. He should be more considerate of his wife's emotional abnormalities due to physiological and psychological changes in the early postpartum period, and try to avoid quarreling with her over trivial matters. At the same time, you should pay more attention to your wife's physical condition or illness, and pay more attention to breastfeeding the baby. If a pregnant woman is found to have severe symptoms of depression, she should be accompanied to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible. In short, creating a harmonious and warm family atmosphere is very important for preventing postpartum depression.
