Ovarian cyst 2 cm

Ovarian cyst 2 cm

There are many women suffering from ovarian cysts. There are many reasons for ovarian cysts. Bad living habits, too much mental stress or unclean sex life can all cause ovarian cysts. People who don't know much about ovarian cysts are often particularly worried after they are diagnosed with ovarian cysts. Especially when they hear that it is a cyst and it is 2 cm in size, they are even more worried. Is a 2 cm ovarian cyst serious?

Is a 2 cm ovarian cyst serious?

The cyst is 2 cm, which is not serious. If the cyst is smaller than 5 cm, treatment with traditional Chinese medicine can achieve twice the result with half the effort, and it is less likely to recur after being cured. However, if the cyst is larger than 5 centimeters and shows a tendency to increase in size after 2 or 3 follow-up examinations, it is best to remove it surgically.

Once the symptoms of ovarian cysts are found, treatment should be started as soon as possible. The clinical manifestations of ovarian cysts are:

1. Compression symptoms. Huge ovarian cysts can cause dyspnea and palpitations due to compression of the diaphragm. Ovarian cysts combined with a large amount of ascites can also cause these symptoms; but some patients with ovarian cysts have dyspnea caused by unilateral or bilateral pleural effusion, and are often combined with ascites.

2. Abdominal pain. If the tumor has no complications, there is very little pain. Therefore, if patients with ovarian tumors feel abdominal pain, especially if it occurs suddenly, it is mostly due to torsion of the tumor pedicle, or occasionally due to cyst rupture, bleeding or infection. In addition, malignant cysts often cause abdominal pain and leg pain, and the pain often causes patients to seek emergency treatment.

3. Increased abdominal circumference and abdominal swelling. This is the most common phenomenon among patients. The patient finds that his clothes or belt seem tight and small, and then he notices that his abdomen is enlarged, or he notices it accidentally in the morning, so he presses his abdomen and finds a tumor in his abdomen, coupled with abdominal distension and discomfort.

4. Menstrual disorders. Ovarian cysts on one or even both sides usually do not cause menstrual disorders because they do not destroy all normal ovarian tissue. Some uterine bleeding is not endocrine in nature. It may be caused by ovarian cysts that change the pelvic blood vessel distribution, causing endometrial congestion; or it may be caused by direct metastasis of ovarian malignant cysts to the endometrium. Menstrual disorders caused by endocrine tumors are often combined with other secretory influences.
