Normal blood sugar level on finger of pregnant woman

Pregnant women will take good care of their health during pregnancy. If some problems arise, they will become very anxious, fearing that it will affect the healthy growth of the fetus in their belly. Therefore, blood sugar is very critical for pregnant women. If the blood sugar level is not at a normal value, it will lead to high blood sugar, which will affect future production and prevent smooth delivery.

The normal blood sugar level during pregnancy is 3.3-5.6mmol/L half an hour before meals, 4.4-6.7mmol/L 2 hours after meals, and 4.4-6.7mmol/L at night.

Blood sugar test standards:

1. Sugar screening: Drink 50g of glucose in the morning and check if the whole blood glucose is ≥7.2mmol/L or the plasma blood glucose is greater than or equal to 7.8mmol/L one hour later. You should continue to do a 100g or 75g glucose tolerance test.

2. Diagnostic criteria for 100-gram glucose tolerance test: Blood sugar standards before taking 100 grams of glucose and 1 hour, 2 hours, and 3 hours after taking it are as follows: plasma glucose ≥5.9mmol/L before taking it, ≥10.6mmol/L at 1 hour, ≥9.2mmol/L at 2 hours, and ≥8.1mmol/L at 3 hours.

3. Blood sugar measurement: The normal blood sugar value during pregnancy is generally lower than the normal value, rarely exceeding 5.6mmol/L (100mg/dl), and the fasting blood sugar is usually 3.3~4.4mmol/L (60~80mg/dl).

1. Rose tea

For women, drinking more rose water can make their complexion as rosy as petals. This is because roses have a strong effect of promoting qi and blood circulation, removing blood stasis, and harmonizing internal organs. What we usually call bad complexion or facial spots, menstrual disorders, dysmenorrhea and other symptoms are all related to abnormal circulation of Qi and blood, and stagnation in the uterus or face. Once the Qi and blood flow normally, your complexion will naturally be rosy and your body will be healthy.

Women often feel irritable before or during menstruation. Drinking some rose water can also help regulate and soothe their emotions. However, for pregnant women, rose tea can cause miscarriage because of its strong blood-activating and blood-stasis-dispersing effect.

2. Safflower tea

Safflower has the effects of promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis and relieving pain. It can be used for amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, lochia retention, abdominal masses, and bruises. However, pregnant women should avoid drinking scented tea containing safflower.

Experiments have shown that safflower decoction has a stimulating effect on the isolated uterus of mice, guinea pigs, rabbits and dogs. Whether administered in vitro or in the uterus, tension and/or rhythmicity are significantly increased, and sometimes the excitatory effect is so strong that it can cause convulsions. The effect on the pregnant uterus is more obvious than that on the non-pregnant one. Therefore, pregnant women should not only not drink safflower tea, but also try to avoid safflower-related items, such as safflower oil.

3. Peach Blossom Tea

Peach blossom tea is made by soaking peach blossoms in water and drinking it as tea. Peach blossom tea is easy to brew and can beautify the skin, relieve gas and help digestion. It is a romantic spring flower tea. Peach blossom is not only a scented tea, but also a traditional Chinese medicine. It tastes bitter and flat, and its functions are to remove water vapor, facilitate urination and defecation, and expel three kinds of parasites. In fact, it is a laxative.
