The process of female ovulation is actually quite complicated. There are actually many factors to consider in the process of ovulation, such as the time of ovulation or the combination of sperm and egg, so there are many things to pay attention to during the ovulation period of women. Moreover, when a woman ovulates, the maturity of the follicles must also be considered. Not all follicles can be successfully discharged. So what is the ovulation process of female reproductive physiology? 1. During intercourse, a man discharges about 200 million to 400 million sperms each time. Most of the sperms are discharged from the vagina along with the semen, and a small number of sperms move forward by swinging their tails, passing through the cervical canal and uterine cavity, and finally reaching the terminal station, the ampulla of the fallopian tube, where they wait to combine with the egg. It takes sperm only a few minutes to reach the fallopian tube from the vagina at the fastest, and 4-6 hours at the slowest (usually 1 - 1.5 hours). As sperm move forward, they are blocked by cervical mucus and swallowed by white blood cells in the pregnancy cavity. In the end, only dozens to one or two hundred sperm reach the fallopian tubes. 2. A woman's ovulation date is about 14 days before the next menstrual period. After the egg is discharged from the ovary, it is immediately sucked into the fallopian tube by the fimbria of the fallopian tube and waits for the arrival of sperm in the ampulla of the fallopian tube. Before the sperm fertilizes the egg, it must be incubated in the female reproductive cavity for a period of time before it has the ability to fertilize. This process is called "sperm capacitation." 3. When the mature follicle develops to a certain stage, it protrudes obviously from the surface of the ovary. With the surge of follicular fluid and the increase of internal pressure, the protruding part of the ovarian tissue becomes thinner and thinner, and finally ruptures. The secondary oocyte and its surrounding zona pellucida and corona radiata are discharged from the ovary along with the follicular fluid. This process is called ovulation. The eggs are produced by the cystic follicles and cysts near the ovaries. During the ovulation period each month, the cystic follicles will appear red and become prominent, and the eggs surrounded by gelatinous substances are discharged at the end of the cystic follicles. |
