1. Eat a light diet

New mothers should have a light diet after giving birth, avoid spicy food, salty or greasy food, and eat less sweets. Spicy and sour food will irritate the weak stomach of new mothers and cause a lot of discomfort; overly salty or greasy food will increase the burden on the stomach; eating too much sweets will not only affect appetite, but also may cause excess calories to convert into fat accumulation.

2. Avoid being blown by the wind or going out:

A weak mother may catch a cold when exposed to wind (respiratory medicine). Another reason is that the muscles and bones of the whole body are loose after childbirth. If the cold wind blows on the bones, there is a possibility of muscle pain in the future. Experts recommend that mothers wear long clothes and long pants during the confinement period, and if the floor is cold when getting out of bed, it is best to put on socks. If it is summer, choose thin long-sleeved clothes. If it is hot and humid in summer. You can let the electric fan blow against the wall to circulate the indoor air. In the past, doors and windows had to be closed tightly in order to prevent the mother from being exposed to the draft. Misconception 3: You can’t take a shower or wash your hair

Traditional thinking holds that for a period of time after childbirth, the scalp bone joints and pores are wide open, and bathing and washing hair can easily allow dampness and cold to invade the scalp and stay there, leaving behind the root of the disease, namely frequent headaches, hair loss and neck pain.

The truth: Women will excrete a lot of water after giving birth, especially in summer when the human body is prone to sweating. If it is not cleaned frequently, it is easy to breed bacteria.

Women who have undergone cesarean section can wipe their bodies and clean their vulva with warm water within one week after delivery. After the wound has healed, it is recommended that they take a shower. Women who have undergone natural delivery can take a short shower after three days. Those who have had an episiotomy can wipe their bodies with warm water. Be careful not to touch the wound when cleaning.
