What is the reason for heavy menstrual flow in girls?

Abnormal menstruation has become a serious gynecological problem that troubles more and more women. However, in most cases, menstrual abnormalities do not cause substantial harm to women's bodies, so many women choose to ignore them. If abnormal menstruation is left untreated for a long time, it will actually cause serious harm to a woman's body. So what is the reason for excessive menstrual flow?

The first abnormal menstruation is excessive menstrual flow. So first you need to know what menorrhagia is. This is relatively easy to understand. Excessive menstruation means that the amount of menstruation is significantly higher than normal, that is, more than you had before. If the cycle is basically normal, it is called menorrhagia. One is that the menstrual flow is heavy, but the menstrual cycle is basically normal. Otherwise, if you have two periods in a month, it is an abnormal cycle, but the amount is mostly more than one time, so it cannot be called menorrhagia. Therefore, two conditions must be met: one is that the menstruation is significantly more than before, and the other is that the menstrual cycle is basically normal. This can be called menorrhagia. Generally speaking, the normal menstrual volume of a normal woman in one menstrual cycle is 30 to 50 ml. If it exceeds 80 ml, it is called menorrhagia. The limit is 100 ml. If it exceeds 100 ml, people will definitely not be able to bear it.

So what are the common causes of excessive menstrual flow? This is a very clinical and practical issue. One is taking birth control pills indiscriminately, which is the most common cause of excessive menstrual flow. The second is that women are prone to excessive menstruation when they just have an IUD inserted. Don't be nervous, it will return to normal after a few cycles.

The third one is pelvic inflammatory disease, which can easily lead to excessive menstruation.

The fourth is the potential or actual existence of uterine fibroids, which can also easily lead to excessive menstruation.

The fifth is the sudden abnormality of coagulation function, which is the most worthy of attention. Poor coagulation function is very dangerous. Not only will the menstrual period be excessive, but many parts of the body will suddenly bleed! Other things like uterine hypertrophy, endometriosis, etc. can all cause excessive menstrual period, but the most common ones are the ones mentioned above.
