Vaginal examination of woman

Vaginal examination of woman

The vagina is an important part of the female private parts. Vaginal health is closely related to women's health, especially the health of women's reproductive system. If people have health problems in their vagina, such as diseases such as vaginitis, it will cause great harm to the health of women's reproductive system. In this case, a vaginal examination is necessary. Next, I will introduce to you the specific steps of vaginal examination for women!

1. Make preparations

Before undergoing a colposcopy, women must have already done a vaginal smear test, received the results, and ruled out the possibility of vaginal inflammation. At this time, they need to actively prepare for the colposcopy, such as not having sexual intercourse a few days before the colposcopy. They can take a bath before the colposcopy and rinse the vulva with clean water, but do not use any liquid to rinse the vagina.

2. Use a Speculum

Before performing a colposcopy, you must use a speculum to completely expose the vagina and cervix, then use a medical cotton swab to wipe off the secretions in the cervix. After that, you can use a colposcope to observe the condition of the patient's cervix and vagina.

3. Colposcopy to observe the cervix and vagina

Turn on the lighting probe of the colposcope, and then use a low-power lens to roughly observe and like the cervix, mainly to check the shape, blood vessels and color of the cervix, so as to determine whether there are lesions in the cervix. Then wipe the cervix with a 3% acetic acid cotton ball. This will make the epithelial cells in the cervix swell and make the cervix easier to observe. It is best to wipe the acetic acid every 3-5 minutes, which can be more conducive to observing the cervix. When checking the blood vessels, you can observe under a 20x magnifying glass.

4. Pathological examination report

The last item of the colposcopy is to apply compound iodine solution on the cervix, so that the suspicious lesions and the invisible areas of the iodine test can be observed. A small amount of biopsy can be taken from the suspicious lesions for examination. After the examination, the examination report can be issued. After the report comes out, the complete colposcopy process is completed.
