Precautions for bed rest during early pregnancy

The physical condition of the mother directly affects the physical development and growth of the baby. Especially during pregnancy, the pregnant mother cannot often stay in bed to rest, which can easily cause body stiffness and affect the flexibility of movement. She should stay away from noise, listen to soothing and quiet music, relieve mental stress, ensure adequate sleep, eat more fetal-protecting foods, and persist in doing so for a long time to better help the healthy growth of the pregnant baby.

1. Ensure adequate sleep

After pregnancy, in order to create a good environment for the fetus, you must ensure adequate sleep time. Pregnant women should sleep more than normal people, at least 8 to 9 hours a night, and at least 1 to 2 hours of sleep at noon every day, but the time should not be too long. If the pregnant mother can sleep soundly, it is also very helpful for fetal health. Because during sleep, the pituitary gland in the brain secretes growth hormone, which is an indispensable substance for fetal growth.

2. Stay away from noise

Noise is everywhere in life. Although many people are accustomed to it, pregnant mothers should not take it lightly because noise may lead to the risk of miscarriage.

3. Don’t stay up late to work overtime

Staying up late will disrupt the normal physiological laws of pregnant mothers and cause hormone secretion disorders in the body. Coupled with work fatigue and other reasons, it will inevitably affect the growth and development of the embryo in the uterus and even cause miscarriage.

4. Psychotherapy

Give spiritual encouragement to patients to stabilize their emotions and enhance their confidence.

5. Pregnancy-preserving drugs

Appropriate oral sedatives, such as luminal and chlordiazepoxide. For those with abdominal pain and heaviness, give 4.8 mg of salbutamol, 3 times a day. For those with luteal insufficiency, inject 20 mg of progesterone daily. Secondly, vitamin E and thyroxine powder (suitable for those with hypothyroidism) can be used as a supplement. At the same time, you can also make use of the successful experience of traditional Chinese medicine and use traditional Chinese medicine to protect the fetus.

6. Pregnancy Protection Period

In principle, the pregnancy preservation period is 2 weeks. If the symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks, it indicates that the embryo may have developmental abnormalities. B-ultrasound examination and β-HCG measurement are needed to determine the condition of the embryo and give appropriate treatment. The pregnancy should be terminated if necessary.
