Pseudo-warts in women

Pseudo-warts in women

The main symptoms of pseudo-condyloma acuminatum in women are the appearance of villi on the inner side of the labia, as well as many papules and erosions. It also causes increased vaginal secretions and odor, and the patient may also feel vaginal pain. This type of pseudo-condyloma acuminatum needs to be treated immediately. It is a disease caused by infection, and sexual intercourse must be prohibited, and attention must be paid to the hygiene of the private parts. Be careful not to scratch the private parts with your hands.

1. What are the symptoms of pseudo-condyloma acuminatum in women?

Pseudo-condyloma, also known as villous labia minora, occurs on the inner mucosa of the labia minora and grows on the inner side of the labia minora like two balls of caviar. The protruding "villi" are equal in size, symmetrical on both sides, the same color as the surrounding mucosa, soft in texture, and can be lifted up when touched.

The symptoms of pseudo-condyloma acuminatum mostly occur in women between the ages of 20 and 30. The symptoms of pseudo-condyloma acuminatum are similar to those of genital warts. The skin lesions of patients with genital warts are initially small, light red papules, which gradually grow larger and have an uneven, soft, nipple-like lesion surface. Some are cauliflower-shaped, with a pedicle at the root, and the surface is moist and dirty gray. For those with a long time, the surface may have erosion and exudate, and there is occasional itching and scratching. Bacterial infection may occur secondary to the appearance of purulent secretions on the surface, with a foul odor and pain.

The rash of pseudocondyloma in women mainly occurs on the inner side of the labia minora on both sides and the vestibule of the vagina. The rash is multiple, collective, granular, white or light red, like fish eggs, with a smooth surface and a granular feel to the touch. Some are filiform, papillary or polyp-like. Most patients do not feel any discomfort, but some feel local itching. Patients with pseudocondyloma usually have an increase in leucorrhea, which is white or colorless and transparent, and generally has no obvious odor.

2. Will pseudo-condyloma acuminatum get better without treatment?

Pseudo-condyloma acuminatum is mostly caused by infection and will not disappear without treatment. It is recommended that you actively go to a regular hospital for treatment. If it is convenient, you can come to our hospital for treatment to prevent the spread of inflammation and cause lesions in other places. Pay attention to hygiene and refrain from sexual intercourse to avoid infecting your sexual partner. Pseudo-condylomatosis is a benign papilloma, not a sexually transmitted disease, and is non-contagious. It sometimes itches, which may be caused by physiological variations or vaginal Candida albicans, which causes increased leucorrhea and stimulation. Large warts may require laser removal. As long as the vaginitis is cured, small warts can generally disappear on their own. No special treatment is needed; if the inflammatory warts are not removed they may continue to grow. There is no effect on the fetus.

3. What are the causes of pseudo-condyloma acuminatum?

3.1. Pseudo-condyloma acuminatum usually occurs on the female vulva. Especially on the side of the labia minora, a row of small papules that look like fish eggs or polyps are likely to appear. These papules are generally 1 to 2 mm in size, usually very small, but with a relatively smooth surface.

3.2. These small papules are generally densely distributed, but they do not fuse and exist isolatedly. The cause of the disease may be physiological variation. Due to some physiological factors, such changes in papilloma will naturally occur.

3.3. Other studies have shown that this disease is usually related to local inflammatory stimulation. It may also include Trichomonas infection caused by increased vaginal discharge or urinary tract infection. These conditions may lead to the appearance of pseudo-condyloma acuminatum.

3.4. When pseudo-condyloma acuminatum occurs, no matter what the cause is, active symptomatic treatment must be given. This will be beneficial to the body and can quickly cure the disease. During treatment, it must be distinguished from real genital warts to avoid misdiagnosis.
