Belly distension during ovulation

Belly distension during ovulation

During the ovulation period, some female friends always feel that their stomachs are bloated. This is not a very normal situation. If it happens, it may be caused by abnormal ovulation. It is necessary to observe for a period of time. Once other abnormal reactions are found, you should go to the hospital for relevant treatment and examination in time, because abnormal ovulation is a very serious problem and may result in infertility.

1. Determine whether ovulation occurs and guide contraception

Generally, the basal body temperature during the follicular phase is 36.5°C, and it rises by more than 0.5°C during the luteal phase, thus showing a biphasic performance, indicating ovulation. If the monophasic type has no later elevated body temperature curve, it indicates

The accuracy rate of anovulation is 70% to 80%.

If the body temperature rises by 0.3-0.6℃ or even higher within 24 hours, it means that you are in the ovulation state. In addition, basal body temperature can also roughly reflect the quality of the eggs released. If the high temperature period of basal body temperature is longer, lasting 13 to 14 days, it means that the quality of the egg is good.

2 Diagnosing early pregnancy and judging safety in early pregnancy

If your basal body temperature remains high for more than two weeks, you should consider going to the hospital for a check-up because you may be pregnant. If it is ≥20 days, it can be confirmed as early pregnancy. In the early stages of pregnancy, the BBT curve gradually decreases, indicating luteal insufficiency or placental dysfunction, and a tendency to miscarriage.

3 Observe corpus luteum function

BBT should rise immediately after ovulation and remain at a high level for ≥ 11 days. If BBT rises in a step-like manner and the curve takes 3 days to reach a high level, or BBT rises steadily for < 11 days, it can be diagnosed as luteal phase insufficiency (LPD).

4. Other lesions

If BBT does not decrease during menstruation, it may be due to endometriosis or early subclinical miscarriage. The lesions of endometriosis will produce absorption heat after bleeding. When the BBT of patients with primary amenorrhea is biphasic, uterine amenorrhea should be considered, such as congenital absence of uterus or genital tuberculosis causing destruction of the endometrium.

5 Calculating the appropriate time for endometrial biopsy

For patients with irregular cycles, in order to understand whether the endometrium has a secretory response and the function of the corpus luteum, an endometrial biopsy should be performed 2 to 3 days before the next menstrual period after the BBT rises.

Nipple tenderness

Women have an experience that sometimes nipples are very sensitive. You may feel pain when your nipples are rubbed or squeezed while taking a bath or changing underwear. This is because the nipples and milk ducts are very sensitive to estrogen. Under the action of estrogen produced during ovulation, the nipples become larger, redder, and darker in color, and they become very sensitive. At the same time, the milk ducts become thicker, larger, and longer, pushing the nipples outward.

Mid-term pain monitoring

Some women experience lower abdominal pain between periods, which is called "mid-cycle pain." Mid-term pain is caused by the egg being released from the ovary

Pain. Therefore, mid-term pain as one of the signals of ovulation has attracted widespread attention. Mid-term pain usually occurs 2-3 hours before ovulation. Some people feel it like cramps or

A stitch in the side. Sensitive people can feel ovulation the day before it occurs.
