Can I exercise during my period?

Many female friends choose to do physical exercise during their menstrual period, which is a very incorrect practice. In fact, you should rest in bed more during your menstrual period and never do any exercise, otherwise your body will become more tired and may cause the risk of injury. Even if you do exercise, you should do some less intense exercise according to your body.

Before and after menstruation, the concentration of estradiol in serum decreases, causing changes in vascular tension and causing headaches in some patients who are sensitive to this. After menstruation, the serum estradiol concentration returns to normal and the patient's headache may be relieved or disappear. In addition, menstrual headaches, which are common in clinical practice, are often closely related to endocrine disorders.

Stressful life and work pressure, mental fatigue, lack of exercise, lack of sleep, and even some women not eating for a long time to lose weight. These bad living habits may lead to endocrine disorders and then cause premenstrual syndrome. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, menstrual headaches can be called menstrual headaches. It is caused by long-term bad living habits or emotional instability, which will lead to long-term accumulation of toxins in the body. Toxins enter the blood vessels, causing vasodilation, thus causing headaches. Menstrual headaches can be relieved in several ways:

1. Take a walk outdoors: It can regulate your mood and relieve stress.

2. Massage: Constantly combing your scalp with a pointed comb can improve blood supply to the brain.

3. Hot compress: Soak your hands in a basin of hot water and apply a hot towel to your head for 30 minutes each time.

Drinking sweet drinks: Sugar can quickly increase the body's blood sugar content, while drinking water can increase the body's blood volume and improve brain ischemia. Therefore, when you are in pain, giving yourself a glass of sweet milk or juice can help relieve migraines caused by cerebral vasodilation and nerve compression.

Fried foods are also a big taboo for women during menstruation. Due to the influence of progesterone in the receptors, women secrete a lot of sebum during menstruation, their capillaries dilate, and their skin becomes very sensitive. If you eat fried foods at this time, it will increase the burden on your skin, making you prone to acne, pimples, and dark circles. Also, because the metabolism of fat and water slows down during menstruation, if you eat fried foods at this time, fat will easily accumulate in the body.
