The chance of getting pregnant at one time

The chance of getting pregnant at one time

Newlyweds will go to the hospital for a check-up the next day after their first sexual intercourse, in order to find out whether the woman is pregnant. This is something that many couples who want children are very concerned about. However, many people have not had enough of their two-person world and do not want to have children so quickly. They pay great attention to the probability of getting pregnant after one sexual intercourse. So what is the probability of getting pregnant after one sexual intercourse? Let's introduce it in detail below.

Is there a high chance of getting pregnant after having sex once?

1. The chance of getting pregnant after having sex once depends on whether you have sex during your ovulation period (ovulation usually occurs on the 13th to 16th day of the menstrual cycle). If it is during this period, then there is a possibility of pregnancy.

2. The combination of sperm and egg is called conception or fertilization. The process of conception is as follows: during sexual intercourse, the man ejaculates semen into the woman's vagina, the sperm swims towards the uterus by swinging its tail, and then enters the fallopian tube. Each time a man ejaculates, the semen contains hundreds of millions of sperm, but most of the sperm lose their vitality or die in the acidic environment of the vagina, and only a very small number of sperm can overcome numerous obstacles and reach the fallopian tubes.

3. The time it takes for sperm to reach the fallopian tube from the vagina is as fast as a few minutes, but generally takes 1-1.5 hours. These sperm that reach the fallopian tubes lose their ability to conceive after three days. When women are in their childbearing years, their ovaries release a mature egg every month. After the egg is released, it is captured by the fallopian tube umbrella and enters the fallopian tube.

When is the easiest time to get pregnant?

1. Fertilization is possible within 10 days, including the 7 days before and 2 days after ovulation. These 10 days are the easiest time for women to get pregnant. This is because although a man ejaculates hundreds of millions of sperm each time, most of them die in the vagina within 48 hours, and only a few can continue to survive in the cervical canal for up to 5-7 days. After the egg is released, the fertilization period is only 6-24 hours.

2. Normal women of childbearing age have menstruation once a month. The period from the beginning of this menstruation to the first day of the next menstruation is called a menstrual cycle. A woman's ovulation date is generally about 14 days before the next menstrual period. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, together with the ovulation day, a total of 10 days, the ovulation period.

3. After the sperm enters the female reproductive tract, its life span is 1 to 3 days. The best time for conception is 24 to 48 hours after ovulation.

Some contraceptive methods:

1. Contraception during the safe period

For women with regular menstrual cycles, they may choose to use safe period contraception. Although this contraceptive method can also achieve the corresponding contraceptive effect, it is mainly for women with regular menstrual cycles whose bodies will not ovulate during the safe period. Even if the sperm enters the woman's body, it has no chance to meet the egg.

2. Condoms for contraception

In today's life, whether it is a married couple or a man and a woman in love, they generally use condoms for contraception, because this method of contraception is not only convenient, but also safe and effective. In addition, the use of this contraceptive method can effectively inhibit the cross-infection of bacteria and viruses to a certain extent, which is very beneficial to the health of both men and women. However, when using this contraceptive method, you must choose condoms with guaranteed quality. Do not buy some inferior condoms for cheap prices. It can easily affect women's health and fail to achieve the corresponding contraceptive effect.
