How many days after menstruation can I test the follicles

By measuring the size of the follicles, the time when a woman's eggs are released can be effectively determined. As we all know, in a month the female body not only goes through the menstrual period, but also the ovulation period. Having sex during the ovulation period can increase the chances of pregnancy. When measuring the size of the follicle, the correct time must be selected. Therefore, on which day after menstruation is the most accurate to measure the size of the follicle?

How many days after menstruation should I test follicles?

1. How many days after menstruation is over can you test ovulation?

If B-ultrasound is used to detect follicles, under normal circumstances, the diameter of the follicles on the 5th to 6th day of the menstrual cycle is about 5-7mm, and the diameter of the follicles on the 10th day can reach 10mm, which can be clearly displayed by ultrasound.

If you use ovulation test strips to detect follicles, you should use the ovulation test strips once a day about a week after the end of your period. If you find that the ovulation test strips are getting stronger and stronger, you should increase the frequency of testing, preferably once every 4 hours.

If you compare the test strips and find that the ovulation test strip begins to weaken and quickly becomes weaker, it means that ovulation is about to occur and you can plan to have sex. The 24-48 hours after the ovulation test paper turns weak is generally the time range for ovulation.

2. What are the classifications of follicles?

1. Primordial follicle: Primordial follicles are generally close to the white membrane, with an oogonia in the center and a layer of flat follicle cells surrounding it.

2. Growing follicles can be divided into primary growing follicles and secondary growing follicles.

Primary growing follicles are mostly cubic follicular cells with a red-stained transparent zone between the oocyte and the follicular cell. At the outermost edge of the follicle there is a layer of follicular membrane composed of connective tissue.

Follicular cavities appear between the follicular cells of secondary growing follicles, and some follicular cavities are so large that they can form cumulus ovale. The follicular cells on the inner wall of the follicle are densely arranged into several layers called the granulosa layer.

3. Mature follicles: The follicular cavity of mature follicles is very large and the cumulus ovum is very obvious. The endometrial cells are close to the granulosa layer of the follicle, but there is a basement membrane separating them. The inner membrane cells are polygonal, with round nuclei and clear cytoplasm. There are many capillaries between the follicular cells, with unclear boundaries with the surrounding connective tissue, mostly in the shape of radiating crowns.
